Wednesday Word I love buying new clothes, new sheets for our bed, new decorations for our home…let’s face it, I like just about anything new. There’s just something about putting on a new outfit…and feeling good in it. Or a new decoration up and enjoying it.
Welcome to Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. Let’s face it, the ability to go shop, even if I have to wear a mask, is a temporary reprieve from whatever we need a reprieve from – especially during this awful pandemic. However, If I’m honest with myself, after the newness wears off, so does the fondness diminish and I sort of become accustomed to it, not giving it near the attention I did when I first found it. And then there’s the child who just had to have the newest, latest, greatest toy…until the next one came out. I mean my 11-year-old’s wish list is constantly changing 😊 😊 Is that just our humanness? I was reading something the other day that made me think of this conundrum: Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) says: 22 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” In other words, His love, His grace NEVER grows old…They are unceasing, endless, and with each new day comes a new outpour of His love and grace! That just struck my soul in such a beautiful way that though I may tire of things as the newness wears off, He never tires of me or of you; His love is NEW for me, and for you, every morning, and so is His grace! We just need to show up and receive it. I pray that inspires your soul and comes to life in your life! Love, Kim-Evinda
