Thursday Trench Truth It has often been said that you can’t give what you haven’t received. Forgiveness can work like that as well. Is there something you haven’t forgiven yourself for?

Wednesday Word Ah, have you ever leaned into someone to give them a hug and drawn in even more to the fragrance that released all around you? I still remember when that happened to me in the not-too-distant past, and as I pulled myself from her, and her wonderful scent, I couldn’t help but ask her, “What is that perfume you’re wearing? I have to have it!”
But then there are those that we may lean in to give a hug and pull back swiftly because of a not-so-pleasant odor coming from them. Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. What do you think of when you hear the word fragrant? Today’s blog touches on the physical and spiritual sense of fragrance. Enjoy😊 Remembering her fragrance, and how I literally went out and bought it within a matter of a couple of days put a smile on my face and in my heart. And when I need a lift, I reach for that same scent. Our God-given sense of smell gets me thinking about this verse, and others, that talk about being a fragrance of/for God: Live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:2 (ESV) Why in the world would God bring our sense of smell into scripture, as if that were important? But as I thought about it, it makes sense, spiritually speaking, that is😊 but even humanly speaking because it tells us that Jesus, who walked this earth as a man, understands all our senses. There are at least 27 scriptures about being a fragrance of/for God. There is a fragrance of knowledge, of wisdom, of kindness, gentleness, patience; and longsuffering, too, is a fragrance. When we suffer well, He promises to use it for our own good and His glory. I can just imagine our Abba leaning in to offer us a hug and exclaiming what a beautiful fragrance we are giving off. See, when I smelled my friend’s perfume, it grabbed me, made me smile, made me want to get it, own it…now! It was pleasing to me on so many levels. It was powerfully and wonderfully intoxicating, influencing me in a good, good way. No words needed, just the scent. Perhaps we are to allow our lives to speak louder than our words in a way that makes others want to have what we have, to lean in more to embrace His sweet fragrance in us. Oh, that the fragrance of our life would be captivating to anyone who comes closer to confirm that what they are seeing is really who we are. Oh, and by the way, the perfume…it is Ms. Dior, Absolutely Blooming! 😊 Love, Kim-Evinda Tuesday Truthful Humor A little truthful humor goes a long way 😊
One morning, a married couple argued about who was going to make the coffee. The wife says: in the Bible it says that men should make the coffee. The husband asked her where does it say that? The wife opened the Bible and said: "Right here in HE-BREWS!" Whether disagreeing over little things, or not-so-little things, allowing Him the last word just may end the argument! How often during our time Do we think about time and prioritize time well spent? What does it mean to truly give? To truly give away your time In order to find what lies behind How often do we retreat? In hopes of seeking our own inner peace To let go and let be Even when there is no sense of clarity The unknowns of true love Can ultimately be summed up To giving our own space, time, and grace To the people God has placed Right here Right in front of your face Those people need you and you need them Moments with a true friend Are a Godsend We just never realize What lies begin those tired eyes When the surface level speech Is always just good Or “oh I’m just fine” Dig deep Listen in Be kind Be meek and most of all let your love be The light others truly need Just as Jesus withdrew So must you To have moments of quiet solitude To start your day afresh and renewed But your cup can never be filled By only you Let others come in Let them see your messy truth and give them your all Your every last drop Like the jar of oil That multiplied filling others to the top That true love of Christ will never ever stop So give and let give Be and let be The human being The missing piece In the puzzle of our destiny Because you just might be the only Jesus someone else may see ~ “Elisha said to her, what shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you [of sale value] in the house? She said, Your handmaid has nothing in the house except a jar of oil. Then he said, Go around and borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels - and not a few. And when you come in, shut the door upon you and your sons. Then pour out [the oil you have] into all those vessels, setting aside each one when it is full…When the vessels were all full, she said to her son, Bring me another vessel. And he said to her, There is not a one left. Then the oil stopped multiplying.” - 2 Kings 4:1-4,6 ~Abigail Faith-Filled Friday Have you ever been intimidated by a proclaimed Christian who could quote not only the scripture, but the address too? And yet, their life didn’t reflect an experience of what they quoted?
Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. Today’s love letter is a reminder that God’s desire for each of us is to experience Him so we can say we truly know him 😊 ~Love Letter~ My child, your heart will always pursue what you esteem as your treasure. Do you pursue things over Me? Are you always promising Me more time, but you never quite make it? Some run around quoting Scripture, but they have no relationship with Me. You can't know Me if you don't spend time with Me and the best way to spend time with me is to be in My Word. You cannot presume to know My plan for you or your family or even the world if you don't develop your relationship with Me. Even a person doesn't share intimate things with someone they barely know. The same is true for Me. I desire all My children to spend time in prayer and in My Word digging out all the gold nuggets you can find. Then you'll discover My Word just keeps on giving and you will never run out of gold nuggets. How exciting is that? Pursue My truth as a treasure and you will never be disappointed. Come, as the Word says: enter My gates with thanksgiving and My courts with praise. Beloved, I created your voice and I love the sound of it. ~DebraDolce Thursday Trench Truth How many times have you jumped forward with your mouth instead of stepping back and thinking about what you should say versus what you want to say?
If we take the time to step ack instead of jump forward, what we should say will win out over what we want to say…and self-control becomes our friend. For more encouragement join our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/trenchclassesunited take a tour at www.trenchclassesunited.com Kim-Evinda Wednesday Word She listened to the words, “You are more than enough for me…” guilt overtaking her worship. How can I say that right now, when all I can see is my age and my singleness? She cried out in the stillness of where she sat.
Have you ever felt like you just couldn’t sing the words of a worship song and mean them, and when that truth sunk into your soul, it stopped you? Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. To worship God with our whole heart, our whole mind is His will for us but how do we do that amid trials, tribulations, and tears? The words of that worship song stayed with her over the next several days, haunting her with the realization that He didn’t seem to be enough for her. There were all these unanswered questions, still so much pain, though not near as much as this time last year. Ah, there was something to thank Him for, she thought, something praiseworthy. She picked up her Bible to begin that day’s Bible study in Colossians. “Paul states in Colossians 2:10 that we are complete in Christ. Jesus alone is all sufficient and entirely adequate to meet our every need”!!!!!! She looked up, knowing with all her being that He was pursuing her, still, in this SOAR (Season of Adultery Recovery) and would go to great lengths to be all she needed, to not leave her in this broken-hearted state. She read the few verses that followed that emphatic statement of Christ being enough and then as the study asked, recorded all the ways that Christ is enough, for her…and you. Verse 11 reminded her that she had had a spiritual surgery of her heart, a heart circumcision that helps her to put off the flesh. Verse 12 reminded her that because she had been baptised, she had put to death, and buried the old sin nature and had been given new resurrected life when she came up out of the water. “Maybe I should do that one again,” she wondered aloud. Verse 13 reminded her that because her sins have been and will continue to be forgiven upon the asking that she was made alive. And verse 14 reminded her that she was saved from the failure of the law, able to embrace New Covenant life; that because of the price that Jesus already paid, she lived by grace, not a bunch of do’s and don’ts. She closed her study. His timing was a reminder that wrapped around her, holding her close to Him, and in those moments, she could sing, “You are Enough.” Friend, if you are going thru something that prevents you from worshiping with a true heart, meaning what you say, be still, ask Him to reveal the why to you; allow Him to minister to you and be just enough, all that you need. Love, Kim-Evinda Tuesday Trench Truth Think about that for a moment: It takes strength to be gentle, especially in times of frustration and anger!
With so much unrest and uncertainty around us, the quietness of gentleness will go a long way in making your life and the life of others better. Is there really a heaven, a hell?
Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Message with Abigail Rice and Trench Classes United. Her poem today paints a vivid reality about the necessity of living for the Saviour, the one who has all the chapters of your life wrapped up in His life. When the clouds move Do you hear them speak? When the bird flaps its wings Do you hear it sing? How does one express The concept Of immortality To someone with unbelief? If we are to resurrect How can we comprehend what will come next? Truly & only by pure faith & God’s ultimate wisdom & unmerited grace Can we even begin to fathom or attempt to explain The beauty of our souls As they float into space & transform into a magnificent & new Immortal being With a body that can run, laugh, play, & sing All under the reign of our Omnipotent King Although through tests & time our faith may slip It all comes back to this - Simply believing in who our Lord and Saviour is therein lies the ultimate testament His story is far greater He is our Lord & our Saviour We are here now & gone later Our mortal life’s but a vapor So as long as I live I will let Him hold the pen Writing in every chapter The small & the big Simply yielding Simply learning Searching & forever yearning For His wisdom so hidden Only for the sake that I may give it In this one earthly life Because I am forgiven Are By His power & by His grace Through & through To the end Until we get to see His glorious face ~Abigail Faith-Filled Fridays The mind can sometimes feel like a broken record, going around and around the same thoughts but there is a way to stop the playing, scratch the record or break it in two!
Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. Today’s blog is a great reminder of the tools that are available to us to control our thoughts and thereby choose better attitudes and actions if we simply soak up some of His presence. ~Love Letter~ My warrior, let the words of your mouth, your meditation–thoughts, and every movement of your heart be always pure and pleasing, acceptable before My eyes, Yahweh, your only Redeemer, your Protector. Let this be your continual prayer before Me. Let your love for Me keep your mind, your thoughts, and your heart ever before Me. It's not hard to express your love for Me, it doesn't need to be extravagant. I know your thoughts and it's easy to ask for My help, inviting Me in throughout your whole day. Keeping your thoughts pure is a job that will keep you working. The enemy fights you in this area, so you must train your mind to steer clear of thoughts that are not pleasing to Me. Come each morning and be immersed in My sweet Presence and be washed by My Word so that your arsenal will be filled for the day ahead. There is so much liquid love waiting for you in My Presence. Everything you will ever need is provided for you in My Word. Beloved, come before Me with praise and thanksgiving and let My love fill you to overflowing. ~DebraDolce |
