Monday Message What do you do when you feel like you are drowning
Do you hold your breath Accept the death Or do you attempt to swim To keep afloat Knowing that above the water There may be hope I think we all desire to stay alive To keep in this world And give it a try This unordinary life But what if we are supposed to drown? In order to die from ourself And come out Back to life To not just having a hold in this world But a heart and soul That inwardly glows and outwardly shows By the way we begin to live again To show up again To breathe again Knowing that this suffering These momentary hardships Are all a part of His plan To be on this earth As it is in heaven As we pray for more than our daily bread But to feel what it's worth The weight in our hands As our backs begin to bend We keep sinking Deeper And deeper into the abyss But this light momentary affliction Will make us new again As we resurface to this earth Dry land Full of thirst Thirst to be seen Thirst to be known Thirst for the only One who can satisfy our souls As He wipes the mud stains from our eyes We are no longer blind To the evil that surrounds us Amidst His joy that abounds us So I pray everyday For His presence to make way To a new life A new joy Laughter with my boys and for the smallest things I now say thanks For I know when I am drowning He is only making waves. "For whoever wishes to save his [higher, spiritual, eternal] life, Will lose it [the lower, natural temporal life which is lived only on earth]; and whoever gives up his life [which is lived on earth] for My sake and the Gospel's Will save it [his higher, spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God]." Faith-Filled Friday How many times do we make a decision, or choose to do something, or be with someone without including the spiritual part of the equation?
Thanks so much for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. One thing I have learned, and sometimes have to re-learn, whenever I do something without consulting my Spiritual Advisor, aka, JESUS, I fall short. Today’s Love Letter talks about this and reminds us of the value of our spiritual selves. ~Love Letter~ My love, give careful attention to your spiritual life and every cherished truth I teach, for living what you preach will release salvation inside you and to those who listen to you. As you give careful attention to your spiritual life, I will show and teach you My ways. I will lead you in the way you should go. Remember I said when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. That means you will walk through the fire, My Word compares it to the silversmith who heats up the silver to remove the dross, or that which isn't pure. Some fight against this process, but don't you want to be pure? Would you desire to deal with your issues on Earth, or stand before Me with all of them? I have so much for you but it's a divine exchange. The more you let go of you, the more room there is for Me. John the Baptist said, "It is necessary for Him to increase and for me to decrease." The same is true for every one of My children. Beloved, the choice is always yours but remember, I will be with you always. ~DebraDolce Thursday Truthful Humor A married couple are out one night at a dance club and see a guy on the dance floor dancing like no one was watching: break dancing, moon walking, back flips, the works.
The wife turns to her husband and says, "See that guy? Twenty years ago, he proposed to me, and I turned him down." The husband says, "Looks like he’s still celebrating!" Yikes, that’s funny 😉 😊 😊 and yet, not very nice… Why do you think marriage gets such a bad name? Why do you think romance leaves marriage as soon as the honeymoon’s over? Marriage should help us dance like no one’s watching, grateful for that one to celebrate the ups and downs with, even when the downs are caused by the one you love. There’s no such thing as a perfect person but there is a person perfect for you… For more encouragement, join our Facebook community at www.facebookc.com/trenchclassesunited and take a tour at www.trenchclassesunited.com Be blessed Kim-Evinda Humor taken from ChristiansUnite.com Wednesday Word She sat watching the waves come crashing in, one right after the other, powerful, and unceasing. When they reached the top of the shore, their power was quieted. And with a blink of the eye, the salt melted into the sand and was gone…until the next wave hit. And when the next wave came colliding into the shore, she realized in that moment something equally powerful crashing into her soul: His grace does that, too. Comes in, quietly, and soothes and takes our mistakes and erases them, not just some of them but all of them…when we ask.
Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. Today is a great message about the power of grace, which can quiet any soul, sooth any contention, calm any storm and heal any heart. Have you ever been in the midst of a conflict and an unexpected whirlwind of all their mistakes comes at you and threatens to take possession of everything inside of you as you conjure up everything you want to hurl at them verbally? Or what about those times when you just know that you know that they misunderstood you? In moments such as these -- when we feel the need to get back at someone and hurt them as they’ve hurt us by hurling hurtful words, or when we think we must defend ourselves with our words -- that we should just say nothing at all! These are some of the toughest times to quiet the mouth but quieting the mouth will quiet the soul. When we practice this, His grace speaks volumes, showing us a different solution. How in the world do we do that? By praying this one simple verse: “Set a guard over my mouth, oh, Lord. Keep watch over my lips.” If we could just imagine Him being the guard over our words, I can’t help but think we’d recognize He’s the protector of our hearts as well and wants to cleanse our hearts and minds with His grace. To remove or ignore Him as the guard over our words is to encourage a partnership with the enemy ☹️ No thank you! 😊 2nd Thessalonians 3:3 says that He is faithful and will establish me and protect me from the evil one. If I live like I believe that He is the guard, what more is there to say? Thoughtfully, Kim-Evinda Tuesday Truthful Humor Welcome to Tuesday’s Truthful Humor where we pull truth from humor
A young man and woman got married. When she moved in with her husband, he noticed she carried a medium-sized metal box into the house and proceeded to shove it up in a top shelf of their closet. She caught him looking at the box curiously and told him to never to look in it no matter what the circumstances. Over the years, he would glance at that metal box but never peered into it for the sake of his wife. One day, though, the wife had a stroke and was rushed to the hospital where she had was pronounced dying. As the husband sat grieving at home, he thought of the box, snatched it up, and sped to the hospital where his wife remained barely alive. The husband bolted into her hospital room and pleaded and begged her to allow him to open the box by her side. "Well" she said, "I suppose now would be the right time." The husband unlatched the hook and peered inside. On one side sat two crocheted dolls, and on the other, to his surprise, sat one million dollars! "Honey,” she said, “before we got married, my mother gave me this box and told me that whenever I got mad at you, I should go to the bedroom and crotchet a doll.” The husband was thrilled and thankful. He absolutely couldn't believe his wife had only been mad at him two times! "That is amazing!" He said "I'm so grateful beyond belief that you've only been mad at me twice, but how on this earth did you manage to get one million dollars?" "Oh, honey" said the wife, "That's the money I got from selling the dolls." Gosh, wouldn’t it be great if we could get paid for dispensing of our anger? I wonder how quickly we’d get rid of it. But what if I told you there is a dividend for ridding ourselves of anger? It’s called heaven. To remember that in the midst of a teaching moment, a trial or tragedy…this is active faith.
Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Message with Abigail Rice and Trench Classes United. Today’s message is a great reminder that nothing goes wasted and there is always something beautiful to pick out from the painful lessons in life. Always expect something This is what I have learned, Said the toad, That something is to come out of every situation Not to harm you But to teach you Or reward you But The true heroes understand the teaching moment Is the where the real reward is When you know your prince will come Maybe not shining Looking like all the other ones No, but different Like this perfect painted picture As you ponder And wonder All with assumption That this This is golden A rare unfolding moment Where you fall to your knees Amidst strife Terror And agony And thank the Lord, God For this moment of peace Where you and He Finally meet At the crossroads of adversity & blessing You break free For this moment in time is one that can’t compete To the everyday lies And mindless media feed We all have been asleep Like sheep we have been led astray (Isaiah 53:6) And is up to us to discern The tides at bay Where will we go? Who will we follow? Will we swallow our pride and move with stealth and light? Knowing that in those brief moments Are rare teaching lessons That turn into blessings Flowing over As it boils Out from the top Our rare true breed Mixed together like seeds Set out on a task That no man can succeed ~ Abigail Rice Faith-Filled Friday We are living in some crazy times right now, and if we listen to the “news,” we are headed for even more. Now, more than ever, is the time to remember, think upon and claim the promises of God and to live according to them.
Welcome to Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. For such a time as this, we need this love letter to remind us that God does NOT want us to live in fear. We are in this world, but we are not of it. Oh, to live like we are headed to a better place. Love Letter~ My dear one, don't yield to fear. All you need to do is to keep on believing. Meditate on this! Memorize this so you can stand on this Word. Declare this over yourself and over your family so you can stand firm when fear comes. Keep on believing when doubt tries to entangle you in its sticky web. You must fight against all doubt and unbelief because it will paralyze you. Raise the banner of victory over your life, for which I died. Speak of what I have done for you. Declare all the marvelous works I have done. Do not decree what you can't do, but decree what you can do. Remember My Word says to decree a thing and it shall be. What are you speaking over your life, over your family? If you are always speaking bad, how can I bless you with good? Blessings and curses cannot both come from your mouth and then you succeed. One or the other will rule, you choose. Practice speaking My Word only. Make it a habit of being quiet instead of speaking negatively; you'll do so much better. Beloved, remember life and death are in the power of your tongue. ~DebraDolce Thursday Trench Truth A man takes his sick Chihuahua to the vet. They’re immediately taken back to a room without much of a wait at all.
Soon a Labrador walks by the room, pulls his owner back and sticks his head in the room where the Chihuahua is. He comes in closer and proceeds to say hello to the Chihuahua by sniffing for a good 10 minutes and then leaves. Then a cat comes walking in the room and stops, and stares at the Chihuahua for ten minutes. The Chihuahua’s owner was like what the heck? When’s the vet going to come in, he wondered. Finally, the doctor comes in, prescribes some medicine and hands the man a $250 bill. The guy stood there dumbfounded and blurted out: This must be a mistake; I’ve only been here for 20 minutes and you haven’t even examined my dog. Nope, there’s no mistake, the doctor says. It’s $100 for the lab test, 100 for the cat scan and $50 for the medicine” Oh my goodness, signs and symptoms of sickness whether exhibited in our children or our four-legged children tend to send us scurrying to someone who can help, right? But what do we do when we are not feeling well emotionally? Our emotional and spiritual health is every bit as important as our physical health For more encouragement for your soul, join our Instagram fam and Facebook Community www.facebook.com/trenchclassesunited Much love, Kim-Evinda Wednesday Word She went back in her journal as a way to remind herself of His hand in her process. When she came across what she had written just two years ago, her heart stopped, but there were no more tears despite the painful reminders of what she had endured since then.
Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Trench Classes United and Kim-Evinda. Today’s word is so relevant for every single day of our lives. Why, because of the human condition! While this was written last year, it collides with where she is today after having gone thru still more betrayal that finally set her free. Let’s get to more of her true story. The memory of the double betrayal was fading into the past, and freedom began to peek out through the clouds of despair and depression that had been chasing her for so long. Have you ever been betrayed by a friend? Yeah, I feel you; it’s no fun, and yet, the sooner we realize that all relationships are meant to grow us more into the image of Christ, the sooner others’ betrayals will have less power over our emotions. Don’t get me wrong; unless your emotional dashboard is in the “off” position, it will always be an uncomfortable and even painful occurrence, but those feelings of emotions and betrayal don’t have to drive our cars and cause emotional wrecks in others’ lives! Think back to when someone you cared about betrayed you. Do you have that in mind? Let’s go to Psalms 28: 3-4 and let’s put ourselves and our betrayer(s) in here. ”Do not take me away with the wicked and with the workers of iniquity who speak peace to their neighbors but evil is in their hearts.”3 Now this Psalm is written by David over 2000 years ago but, Wow! Can’t you just feel the relevance in your own soul? We all have seen duplicity, people who say one thing and do another, people who speak kindly to our face but horribly when we turn and look the other way, or people who are so envious of others that they will stop at nothing to try and take what you have. Did you know God had you in mind when every single scripture was placed in His Word? Yep, put yourself in the scriptures and you will see what I mean. You want a more Christ-like perspective? Invite Him in by putting yourself in the Word and then speaking it aloud. Here’s an example of a rewrite of this verse: Do not let me be like those who hurt me with their unkind words and actions, whose hearts are filled with ugly things. Now let’s go to verse 4: ”Give them according to their deeds and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; give them according to the work of their hands. Render to them what they deserve”4 Now notice David is telling God what to do here, which you may think is a bit arrogant, but if we look at the spiritual principle here, he is allowing God to fight his battles. Friend, let me assure you that God’s vengeance will always be better than anything you or I could scheme up to pay back for the wrongs done to us…and He won’t get in trouble 😊 Let’s do the rewrite: Bring ____ to the end of her/himself that he/she would completely surrender, acknowledging that what they’ve done is not of you and if it is not in their heart to surrender unto you, the Just One, Abba, then give to them what they deserve for when one hurts one of Yours, they hurt You. Now I don’t know about you, but as I rewrite that verse, my heart begins to soften toward the one(s) that have betrayed me and the need for revenge fades away as it collides with the betrayal. The collision produces embers of beauty and the pain of it all can no longer carry me away to a dark place. Friend, can I encourage you to take the time to do this, to not only read and meditate on scriptures, but put your stuff right smack in the Scriptures, and then speak them…and soon you will be free from the entangled mess of betrayal and acting betrayed. In His Word, Kim-Evinda Tuesday Trench Truth Welcome to Tuesday’s Truthful Humor where we pull truth from humor.
A boy was riding his bike past a restaurant and stopped when he read a sign that advertised fat-free French fries. “That sounds great,” said the health-conscious boy. He locked up his bike and went in and ordered some. He watched as the cook pulled a basket of fries from the fryer. The potatoes were dripping with oil when the cook put them into the container. “Wait a minute,” the boy said. “Those don’t look fat-free.” “Sure they are,” the cook said. “We charge only for the potatoes. The fat is free!” Oh my goodness, the only thing really free is our freedom to choose. When it comes to what we put in our bodies, we are free to choose. Well, at least we were. Despite that being a threat currently, remember that when it comes to what we take in with our eyes and ears, we are free to choose. What will you choose today to become a better you?
