Faith-Filled Friday What do you think of when you read the word surrender?
Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. If you were to ask yourself this question, what would your answer be? Many view surrendering as losing, but for those of us in the “Faith journey,” we have learned that to surrender spiritually means to win. Debra’s love letter talks about this, from the Father’s heart to hers to yours. ~Love Letter~ My dear one, laying your life down in tender surrender before Me, the Lord will bring life, prosperity, and honor as your reward. What a wonderful promise for you. There is another promise that says no one leaves behind anything that I don't repay one hundred times over. No matter what it is, you can never out-give Me. Don't find yourself thinking you've done some extravagant thing, for that is arrogance, especially in light of what I gave up to come and die for you. Count yourself blessed that you can make sacrifices for Me and for the Kingdom. There may come a time and now is where believers all over the world are being martyred for serving Me. Where would you stand if your life was threatened? Could you honestly stand for Me and die? For some it wouldn't be a problem, those who have already surrendered and sacrificed all. But there are those that want a cushy life and don't want to deny themselves anything. How can you be a warrior and want everything your way? Impossible! You must be steadfast, immovable, and work enthusiastically for Me, the Lord your God. Beloved, come to Me laying down all that you are and you will never be disappointed. ~DebraDolce

Thursday’s Truthful Humor Welcome to Thursday’s Truthful Humor where we pull truth from humor.
A little boy wants a bike for Christmas really badly, but the kid, well, he’s not very nice,, and he knows it. He makes bad choices all the time. He writes a letter to Jesus. "Dear Jesus, if I get a bike for Christmas, I'll be good for a whole week." He thinks about it, crosses out what he wrote, and says, "I can't be good for a whole week; I'll be good for five days." He crosses that out and writes, "I'll be good for four days." Then he thinks again and says, "Can't do that." He gets down to one day and says, "I can't even be good for a day." Then in frustration, goes in his mother's room and get the statue of the Virgin Mary, wraps it up in a blanket, puts it in a paper bag, throws it in the closet and says, "Dear Jesus, if I don't get a bike for Christmas, you'll never see your mother again!" Oh, my goodness, while this is funny on the surface, I’m so glad that we don’t have to bargain with God; we simply need to align with God and He will grant us the desires of our hearts. Do you know the Biblical story of the butler and the baker? Come on in for an old, old true story with a powerful life principle. Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. While working on my Bible Study, instead of continuing on to learn about the 12 Tribes, something caught my attention, so I decided to linger in Genesis 40, which is often referred to as the interpretation of the prisoners’ dreams. Well, I wanted to know who the prisoners were, how they got there and then I wanted to know about the dreams and of course the interpretation. But what I walked away from was more than I had come for. First of all, I had no idea that in the beginning, there were butlers and bakers 😊 😊 And I also didn’t know that a butler’s main job was to taste everything before it was served to his master so as to determine that there was no poison in what was being served. In other words, the butler had to be willing to lay down his life for his master! Wow! I can really take a few detours on this, but let me just say as Christians, aren’t we all butlers, able to discern poison from truth so that we may live out the truth and have eternal life? As butlers, don’t we have the poison of lies thrown at us and shouldn’t we learn to allow our Master to guide us from those and into truth without reacting? Anyway, as I continued reading, I was fascinated by the facts found in this portion of scripture: it is unknown why the Pharaoh put both the butler and baker in prison, but something tells me they may have been conniving together. Who knows?! They both had a dream and woke up sad and Joseph, who just happened to be in the same prison interprets each of their dreams. The dreams had some similarities; however, each of their outcomes were different; The butler’s resulted in life and freedom; the baker’s resulted in death. After Joseph interprets the butler’s dream, he said to him: “Remember me when it is well with you, please show kindness to me and mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this house” for he had done nothing to deserve being there. Well, things happened exactly as Joseph had interpreted and verse 23 tells us that the butler completely forgot about Joseph. As soon as I read that, I could relate with Joseph on so many levels, but even more importantly, I was angry with the butler. I thought, how rude! But then…conviction came in like a gentle wave, not to overtake me but to overwhelm me and remind me of this truth: How many times has God seen me thru something, answered my cries, my earnest prayers, and I have walked away and continued on with life as if it never happened, forgetting about His faithfulness? Haven’t I been just like the butler? Oh, but conviction is sweeter than honey for long after it leaves, we remember the love and grace that reminds us to not forget all that He has done for us…and will continue to do for us and in us. A Jewish businessman in America decided to send his son to Israel to absorb some of the culture of the homeland. When the son returned, the father asked him to tell him about his trip. The son said, "Pop, I had a great time in Israel. By the way, I converted to Christianity." "Oy vey," said the father. "What have I done?" He decided to go ask his friend Jacob what to do. Jacob said, "Funny you should ask. I too sent my son to Israel, and he also came back a Christian. Perhaps we should go see the rabbi and ask him what we should do." So they went to see the Rabbi. The Rabbi said, "Funny you should ask. I too sent my son to Israel. He also came back a Christian. What is happening to our young people? Perhaps we should go talk to God and ask him what to do." The three of them prayed together and asked God what to do. Suddenly a voice came loud and clear from Heaven. The Voice said, "funny you should ask, I too sent my son to Israel..." Oh, Yes, He did…send His son that we may all become Christians. In a fear-filled world, don’t you agree that we all need the SAVIOUR? He alone can heal our land, unite our nation and help us turn from fear to faith! Confused With a heart that desires to consume Where have I gone wrong? When did it become so disarray? All these dreams of mine Crushed before I even had a say So, I pray. I pray Lord, please change me Search my heart & Rearrange me Take my hands & bind my feet Until I am ready Until it is only You that I seek I desire more But what for? My thoughts are out of line But it is Your power that lives inside So let me daily remind That our lives Are futile Fragile In a world so unkind There is no button to rewind Remember darling, it is okay to take time We live in this world But we are not of this world We were created for something bigger Something far more than gold paved roads Rubies and grandeur We were created to bask in His beauty and splendor The simplicity of it all Yet, we feel as if that type of life is just too small A morning fog Once here Soon gone So why not? Why not live your life on fire For the One your heart truly desires An audience of One Because He He is enough ~Abigail Faith-Filled Friday Doesn’t it feel as though everywhere we turn, we are hearing, seeing, and possibly participating in fear-based attitudes and actions?
Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. When we are hungry, we usually eat until we are full, right? Well, how do you starve your fears instead of feeding them? Debra’s Love Letter addresses this for such a time as this. ~Love Letter~ My child, on the day that you're afraid, lay all your fears before Me and trust in Me with all your heart. I have, over and over again, shown you My great love. That is My protection and My provision. Have I not proven My faithfulness, that I am trustworthy? Is there any time or place that I have not shown you My great love? When fear or anxiety tries to grip your heart, step back for some quiet time, some rejuvenation. Close your eyes and picture yourself sitting on My lap as you lay your head on My chest, I will fill you with the assurance of My love and care for you. When you are full of My love, fear cannot enter in. What a beautiful thing that is! Relax in My Presence and don't be in a hurry. When you run away too soon, things are not settled in your heart and in your mind. I desire that you can stand on the assurance that there's no fear in love and that you are surrounded by My love. If you stand firmly on My Word you will reap the fruits, the benefits of trusting. Beloved, do not be swayed by anything that doesn't come from Me or My love. ~DebraDolce Thursday Truthful Humor Welcome to Thursday’s Truthful Humor where we pull truth from humor.
At this small church in a small town, there was one particular member named Maureen. She was a real gossip and truly thought of herself as responsible for maintaining the congregation’s morals. People didn’t really like her but they were too afraid of her to say anything. Well, one day, a new member of the congregation named Bill left his pickup parked all afternoon outside the town’s one and only bar. Of course this was spotted by Maureen who accused Bill of being an alcoholic and told him and the other members of the congregation that everyone who saw his truck there would know what he was doing. Bill was a man of very few words and he didn’t give any response when Maureen made her accusation. He just stared at her for a while and then turned and walked away without trying to come up with any explanations or excuses. Later that evening, he parked his truck outside of Maureen’s house and left it there all night. Oh, my goodness, life has a funny way of teaching us lessons, right? And everyone else’s sin always looks worse than our own, right? Matthew 7:1-2 tells us: “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. 2 For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and [a]by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Welcome to Wednesday’s Word with Trench Classes United and Kim-Evinda. Grab your favorite break-time beverage and come on in for a few moments. Sometimes when we respond to questions, it’s like we’re on automatic, especially if the questions are from our littles, right? But have you ever been asked a question that pulled you out of auto pilot and made you stop and think? I have one of those for you today – actually, it comes from His Word, but before I get there, let’s lay a foundation. So here we are, getting ready to turn the corner toward the end of another year…already! Looking back through it all, I am humbled as I realize that the ONLY way I could have stood standing is by being plugged into my strength: JESUS! I shake my head in wonder, realizing it’s really quite simple: just plug in to my source…daily, and He will keep me on track! Why, oh why, do we complicate things, pulling away, inch by inch until suddenly, we’re UNPLUGGED! Now, imagine that it’s just you and Jesus in your quiet time. You are sitting still, being still, inviting Him into your moments. You begin to ask God to show you how to stay plugged in to Him; you even dare to ask Him what’s interfering with the connection. He begins to stir your heart, and things rise to your thoughts. All is still and you cannot deny that it’s Him in your midst and you feel this tender love, this acceptance like you have never felt before. He speaks your thoughts and then He asks you: “Do you want to be made well”? What is your answer? See, Jesus asked this question of a man who was crippled by some infirmity for 38 years! The Word doesn’t tell us how or why he was unable to walk, what infirmity he had but I love that it does tell us he had been this way for 38 years. I believe that’s in there to encourage us with this truth: It’s never too late to be made well, whatever the infirmity. Oftentimes it’s our own limited beliefs that prevent us from being made well. So let me ask you again, Friend, how do you respond to this question? What or who is preventing you from picking up, carrying on and following Jesus with your whole heart that you would be made well? Is the “who” you? When you are staying connected to The Source, He will reveal to you the “what” that is holding you back from the “you” you were intended to be, the places He wants to send you, the plans He has for your life. Is it your diet, your relationships, social media, finances, your thought life? Take a moment and be still; allow Him to help you reveal what it is so that you can answer yes to His question, “do you want to be made well?” He is who makes you whole. There was a man trying to understand God, so he asked Him, "God, how long is a million years to you?" God answered, "A million years is like a minute." Then the man asked, "God, how much is a million dollars to you?" God replied, "A million dollars is like a penny." The man thought for a short time and asked, "God, will you give me a penny?" "In a minute," God responded. Read more at http://www.chuckgirard.com/religious-jokes.html Oh, the sooner we realize time is a gift the sooner we’ll begin living in the present!
