​Spiritual Check-ups lead to better physical check-ups©

​As the surgery date was drawing closer, feelings of anxiety and fear kept trying to creep into her subconscious mind and throw her off balance.
 
Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. When it comes to health and wellness, while you may not be one to get those annual checkups for physical health, spiritual checkups are necessary for overall health.

She began reviewing her homework for her discipleship class, pushing the fear and anxiety back so she could concentrate, but it wasn’t pushed back for long.
 
The eyes of her heart nearly popped out as she read the scripture that deals with characteristics of a disciple of Christ based on the word “FAITH.”
 
“Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you[. if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.”
 
Faithful
Available
Initiative
Teachable
Heart for God.
 
“What does this have to do with my anxiety?”, she dared to ask Him.
 
“Have I not always been faith to meet your every need? Available whenever you call? Taking initiative to pursue you, giving you My teachable heart?””
 
There was no denying that whenever she looked back, she was able to see His faithfulness, availability, His initiative in pursuing her to continue to transform her, making her teachable and granting her a heart after Him. And He was/is always so gentle about it. The upcoming surgery would not and could not change that.
 
Friend, no matter what you are facing in life, can I encourage you to know that whatever He brings you to, He will bring you through, so examine your heart today for that spiritual checkup, knowing that you are equipped for every good work.
