Faith-Filled FridaysWhat a great reminder that we can win the battle by surrendering to The One whose already won it! Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Fridays with Trench Classes United and Debra Dolce.
Love Letter~ My bride, be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure. Are you well balanced and alert? The enemy is looking for weaknesses where he can try and devour you. Make strong declarations and be ready to fight for the truth you spoke. Speak in faith and back it up with My Word. The more you resist the enemy the stronger you become. Watch for the distraction that would pull you off your course. The enemy desires ship-wreck faith in your life, he desires to sift you like wheat, but you have One who is ever interceding for you at the right hand of God. Doesn't that give you great joy? You have a great cloud of witnesses rooting and cheering you on. Beloved, continue in My strength and in My power and there will be nothing that you cannot accomplish. ~DebraDolce

Thursday’s Truthful HumorWelcome to Thursday’s Truthful Humor with Trench Classes Untied where we love to laugh and pull truth from laughter.
A man joins a soccer team and his new teammates inform him, "At your first team dinner as the new guy, you will have to give us a talk about sex." The evening arrives and he gives a detailed, humorous account of his sex life. When he got home, his wife asked how the evening went and not wanting to lie, but also not wanting to explain exactly what happened, he said, "Oh, I had to make a talk about yachting." His wife thought this a little peculiar but said nothing more and went to sleep. The next day she bumped into one of his new teammates at the supermarket and asked, "I heard my husband had to make a speech last night. How did it go?" His mate smiled, 'Oh, it was excellent! Your husband is clearly very experienced!." The wife looked confused and replied to his mate, "Strange, he has only done it twice and the second time he was sick." Why is it the older we get, the less intimate we become? Ladies, can I share with you that when we get there, we don’t get to blame our hormones on our lack of intimacy with our guy! Believe it or not, God wants to help you in this area of your life, too! For more encouragement, take a tour at www.trenchclassesunited.com and join our Facebook community at www.facebook.com/trenchclassesunited Wednesday’s WordIt was as if there was a war going on in my mind, one thought battling against the other until finally I had to get up and out of bed before the thoughts took me back out to a sea of sorrow. Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. Have you ever had trouble switching your thoughts, turning them on to something else other than the problem you were in the midst of? Doesn’t it feel like the force to stay focused on what’s wrong instead of what’s right is so great, almost like you are physically being pulled out of hope’s reach? In this current SOS (Season of suffering) I find myself in, I do believe Abba is trying to teach me many things, one of which is where the mind is, the heart will follow. Could a change in my circumstance be as simple as changing my focus? And please, don’t think this is meant to minimize any sort of suffering, but I can say in this season – which is the most suffering I’ve endured…ever –one thing I know is GOD NEVER wastes anything. As I was praying about what I would share this week, two of my devotions were on this very subject: where is our mind in these hard times? Our weaknesses prove the hard times are hard! But isn’t His strength made perfect in my weakness? Abso-darn-lutely yes! But we won’t know it until we try it. What does that look like? I’m so glad you asked. In this upcoming week, can I encourage you to focus: On what’s right instead of what’s wrong On the Problem Solver instead of the problem On the Triumphant one instead of the tragedy On the Champion Character Developer versus the challenge or struggle On the Promise Keeper instead of the broken promise On the One that is greater in me than he who is in the world On the Provider and Provision instead of the shortage On His strength, not my weakness On His love for me and not the hatred all around us Friend, these situations, circumstances and seasons we find ourselves in our opportunities for God to be God in our lives, opportunities to change the direction of our focus that we may be more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. Thoughtfully, Kim-Evinda |
