Faith-Filled FridayAs I read this love letter, I was pleasantly surprised how well it goes with our Wednesday Word! We were both on the same page and that’s a God-thing! Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United.
Love Letter~ My love, I alone am your safe place. My wrap-around Presence always protects you as your champion defender. There's no risk of failure with Me! So why would you let worry paralyze you, even when troubles multiply around you? Meditate on this amazing Word, this wonderful promise. I am with you always. The arm of My love is long and reaches continually to you. My glory is all around you. Let My wrap-around Presence be all you need. As you surrender all the things that try to paralyze you, a new freedom, a new excitement will well up from within. As you release old things, ways of thinking, old desires, I will bring a new line of sight. Open your eyes to Me, the Lord of Glory, for new will begat new. Beloved, I made everything to reproduce itself and I gave you the ability to create dreams and visions. ~DebraDolce

Thursday's Truthful HumorHusband and Wife are Christmas Shopping at a busy shopping mall just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, she called him on his phone.
The wife said " Where are you, you know we have lots to do." He said "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I couldn’t afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?" Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked up… "Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied. "Well I’m in the guitar shop next door to that." Oh, my gosh!!! Speaking of shopping, did you know you could shop on Amazon for many of your needs and wants and bless a nonprofit at the same time? That’s right, and Amazon has included us in on their list of charities to bless, so would you consider going to https://smile.amazon.com/ and listing us (Chicklit Power Ministries) as your charity to bless? For more information about our nonprofit, go to www.trenchclassesunited.com Wednesday’s WordI watched him sleep, so peacefully and deeply…until we hit a bump and then his head bobbled and he would jerk awake, momentarily. Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United I was envious of my ten-year-old grandson’s ability to rest like that, and equally envious of his response to the bumps in the road; to jerk a bit but then go right back to resting. It made me think of the Biblical principle and promise, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight. Prov 3: 5-6 What would it be like if I actually rested in Jesus like that, to lean my head – with its myriad of thoughts and struggles – body and soul into Him who cares for me, without even thinking twice, or trying to take any sort of control. And when the bumps in the road of life happen, sure they can cause me a knee-jerk reaction, but what if I went right back to resting in Him, leaning not on my own understanding. What if I were to lean into Him instead of on my own understanding? I am currently experiencing another bump in the road – who am I kidding; it’s like a freaking earthquake – and am desperate to learn this principle of leaning NOT on my own understanding, but trust has to come first. If I say that I trust Him, then practicing this should get easier, right? Are you experiencing a crooked path, a bump in your journey? Do you trust Him enough to lean into Him? When we do this, we can’t fall and He will not let us down! Thoughtfully, Kim-Evinda Tuesday's Truthful HumorI was grocery shopping when a gorgeous guy walks by...
I said to him, “I can’t seem to find my husband; can I talk to you?” “Sure, but how will that help?” “Once he sees me talking to you, I’ll bet you anything he’ll appear out of nowhere.” Hey guys, speaking of shopping, I am so grateful for Amazon, especially during this time of so many store closures. Did you know that Amazon said yes to Chicklit Power Ministries, our nonprofit doing business as Trench Classes United? That’s right; if you go to https://smile.amazon.com/ and put in chicklit power ministries, we will get a percentage of all your shopping sprees at no extra cost to you! For more information about our nonprofit, go to www.trenchclassesunited.com Monday’s MessageYour dreams may not be His dreams
Your ways Not His ways Like trying to force a puzzle piece Where it does not belong We may be singing a tune To the wrong song & when we wake To our desolate fate We realize where we were headed Was not our path all along Does that mean it was a waste? A journey misled for too many countless days? A misconstrued chase? No, The Lord has His ways of putting us in Exactly the right place & that is why we pray Not for our dreams to come true But for Him to place His dreams in our view So we can live for Him Journeying along with our hand in His hand Our steps with His steps So we don't get misled By our own thoughts and desires Or by this world that conspires To make us feel unworthy Or that we must take its journey To becoming the best To beating the rest And that is how we will achieve success But I urge you dear friend As this world begins to open up That you listen to your gut Don’t be like a sheep that falls astray But pray Let your Good Shepard lead you The right way “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, But inwardly are ravenous wolves” - Matthew 7:15 -Abigail Rice Faith-filled FridayThis love letter is for such a time as this, when there is such a divide on so many issues; people are getting agitated on so many levels, fear is driving so many of our cars. Perhaps our only alliance should be with Him who holds our future versus worrying about what our future holds.
~Love Letter~ My dear one, don't continue to team up with unbelievers in mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? Who could mingle light with darkness? Let your light shine everywhere you go and therefore illuminating the darkness, then you will see clearly and I will show you the way. Do all things in love with clear vision from Me your Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit's job is to lead you into all truth so allow Him to do just that. This is the time for you to be sensitive to what I am doing in this season. You can do this by spending time in prayer and in My Word. Discipline yourself in this downtime. Use what you have in your hand to glorify your Father that is in heaven. Beloved, let My love flood over you strengthening and encouraging you. ~DebraDolce Thursday’s Truthful HumorOur fourth grader celebrated his birthday on crutches, so he couldn’t carry the cupcakes into school without help. I asked our sixth-grader, Noah, to help his brother carry them in.
“I could,” he said, “but I’d prefer not to.” Spotting a teaching moment, my husband asked Noah, “What would Jesus do?” Noah answered, “Jesus would heal him so he could carry his own cupcakes.” That’s a great piece of humor from Rachel Nicholas, but isn’t there such innocent truth in kids? How insightful it is when we make the time to take the time to listen to them. For more encouragement, take a tour at www.trenchclassesunited.com. Wednesday’s WordI had just hung up the phone and as I replayed the conversation in my head, the truth seeped into my heart. I knew what I had to do. Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. Today’s word aims straight for the heart bathed in love. In 30 years, I had never been asked to change a transcript to reflect what the witness thought he said, and certainly not by his/her attorney. I was split between pride and disbelief; pride because I couldn’t believe I had made that many errors and disbelief because I thought what she was asking me to do went against the Code of Civil Procedure. According to the attorney whom I had just gotten off the phone with, there were many words that needed to be changed to reflect what she felt her client had said, “albeit I know my client has a thick accent, I think you misheard him and there are numerous times.” I heard her, but unfortunately my first response was to defend myself, boasting of 30+ years of court reporting experience, and then his accent and finally, the fact that I had to strain to hear this guy through Zoom proceedings. I mean, seriously?!! The guy’s accent was thicker than peanut butter, and yet, if I’m honest with myself – which I always try to be – I was a bit sharp and indignant in my attitude toward this attorney. I called my agency owner, explained the situation and he suggested that I could do an affidavit reflecting the changes as “hearing errors.” When I hung up from my conversation with him, I knew what I had to do: set pride aside and apologize… so I did. I explained that I had called the agency owner and asked for directions on how to handle this situation because this had never happened to me before. I offered to take a look at her suggested changes with the understanding that the best I could do is give an affidavit stating they were hearing errors. I then went on to apologize for my intensity and attitude. Talk about a temperature change! The whole aura went from hot and frustrated to cool and compassionate. Owning our part in a conflict can feel a bit like scratching sand paper… completely uncomfortable, and yet the sooner we do it, the better we’ll feel and the more we do it the easier it will be to avoid having to do it in the first place! There really is profound truth found in the scripture, “pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Prov. 16:18 Friend, I speak with too much experience in this but not enough to stop learning: avoid the fall by standing tall and taking the high road… owning our part, so we can leave it behind with a smile in our heart. Blessings, Kim-Evinda Tuesday’s Truthful HumorLife ages us, right? Speaking of aging… One of the shortest wills ever written: “Being of sound mind, I spent all the money.”
The other day I got carded at the liquor store. While I was taking out my ID, my old Blockbuster card fell out. The clerk shook his head, said, “Never mind,” and rang me up 2nd Corinthians tells us though outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are renewed day by day. I don’t know about you but I find comfort in that eternal perspective! For more encouragement, take a tour at www.trenchclassesunited.com. Monday’s MessageOur God is an awesome God
And we praise His name At the wake of every day Glorifying Him As His blessings pour down like rain They may come in slow drips Like a sprinkle on a sunny day They may pour like a storm A whirlwind of His grace Whatever that day That season may bring Praise His name He is forever our sheltering place But let us dance in the rain Our hearts beating to the pace Of His love and ultimate grace And when the hardships come The storms washing us away We still praise His name Our God is great He makes no mistake Let us trust Him Step out in faith Thank Him for this day For the blessings he has poured out Like a cup overflowing with rain Let us praise His name Worship Him in this place Through your work Through your words Through the light you exude When you step into the room You are a child of God His love never stops His blessings cannot be bought But they are here, and they are yours Fill your mind with those gracious thoughts And when your cup is overflowing Let it keep going To the person you see next to you To the people not in this room Let your blessings be their blessings Let your gifts be what uplifts Their souls from the hurt From the worry Let them see you as His light The calm in this world so full of hurry Love & light We pray with all our might To be Your children That hold on to hope and listen Let Your blessings run through us Lord, we pray that you use us "…You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will Follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." -Psalms 23:5-6 -Abigail Rice |
