Standing on the rooftop; Staring into the sunset
Ready to fly; Ready to scream
Feeling the chill air, the nightly breeze
Darling, hold on to those beautiful wings
Embrace the uncertainty
Knowing that you are becoming exactly who God has called you to be
Now float, float into His embrace
Into the breeze, feeling the mercy
Knowing that this world that tends to bring you to your knees
Is not your final resting place, not your final destiny
Your soul belongs in eternity
Closing your eyes, you are now ready to fly
Trust those wings to carry your burdens
Carry your weight, light as a feather, forevermore
No matter how worn, no matter how torn
Trust in Him and you will soar.
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Today I woke up and my first thought was: “this is going to suck,” rolling out of bed feeling the dread of my to-do list and not feeling 100% me.
As human beings we easily let this feeling affect our entire day, and as a consequence of staying in that feeling, we end up being late; we moan, groan, and complain. Why? Simply because our body and heart and mind are not in one accord, and we let that feeling take control of our entire day. That is a feeling we must retaliate against.
We were created to be free. We were created to feel warmth and grace and radiate His light to others in need. In reality, most of us have the “me” mentality. When everything seems to be going wrong and the day just simply cannot get any worse; how can we reverse?
But what if I don’t have time in the day? The real question is Retaliation says: “When will I make the time to pray?” You don’t need a secret shelter, a prayer pillow or anything else to pray. You simply need you, yourself, and His grace.
So take the time to stop what you are doing and simply pray. Pray for a way to make your day great. Pray for His light to shine in you that you may shine on for others. Pray because you have faith, faith that it will be okay; faith that He is the Way, The Truth and The Light that you cannot wait to radiate.
Today I woke up dreading the day. The last thing I had “time” to do was pray, but I chose not to let my morning feelings get in the way. I took my time, sat down at my table and simply prayed. and today…well, today has turned out to be the best day.
I am who I am
Because He created me to be
Embraced by the weight of eternity
Knowing that His Kingdom
Is my one and only freedom
Feeling of His grace & mercy
Forgiving as He listens while we pray.
Do you look for opportunities to bless others or allow the opportunities to pass you by? Enjoy Debra’s love letter today and may it encourage you to expand your peripheral vision of your heart.
Good morning My blessed child.
If you know of an opportunity to do the right thing today, yet you refrain from doing it, you're guilty of sin. I desire that you practice doing the right thing, making a conscious decision to take every opportunity that becomes available to you. You could even make opportunities. See, as you ask Me, I will show you who you could encourage, maybe even call somebody to pray with and for.
Nobody will turn down the opportunity to receive prayer or something needed. People's lives are full of struggles and complex issues and you could simplify their lives by being My hands and feet.
Spend time with Me each morning that you are sensitive to My leading and make yourself available that when I say "go here or go there," you will go.
Beloved, a father takes pleasure in his obedient child, one that is sure-footed, one that is dependable, one that is full of faith and walks the walk of a righteous person, one that obeys My Word and shares Me with those around them.
Be ready for the next opportunity
Turning your day around But you’ve been drifting off to sea
When life has flipped upside down drowning in a mind filled with unease
Is much harder than it seems with thoughts that this life is not working
But that heart of yours is stronger than you think exactly how you were hoping
The knots you’re feeling Just wait and listen
The heart aching Drown out the noise
Gut wrenching The thoughts of negativity
Twisting and reeling depression, and sorrow stained dreams
It’s reeling you in This life is all that we are given, worth much more
to feel like a failure than to be driven by self-doubt and fear
leaving you wondering When you realize your time is so very near
where in the world is my Savior… Happiness will replace those tears
“Right here”, he whispers Remember this, and never forget:
Everything you are doing is right
Keep praying with all of your might
Look to the Light
Your future, darling, is more than bright
Don’t try to be someone’s Holy Spirit; instead pray the prayer of influence EL
Have you ever wished you could influence someone over to a better life, or towards better choices? And watched as they did completely the opposite of what you wished for, or even prayed for?

It’s always so much easier to recognize bad choices, compromising decisions, and questionable lifestyles in and by others, right?
I don’t know how many times I’ve read this prayer in Philippians, but for some reason, as I’m studying this book in the Bible, and really processing verse by verse, I am blown away by its power and purpose.
Read this with me from the book of Philippians, Chapter 1, verses 9-11 (MSG):
9-11 So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover’s life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God
What would it be like if we prayed these words over our unlovable and/or difficult people in our lives? One thing for sure, we’d be the ones to change our love would flourish as we learn to love much and love well!
