Faith-filled FridayHow many times have we just wanted to throw in the towel, to just allow the world-wide blanket of negativity to swallow us, or at least hide us away from it all?
Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. Today’s love letter is a great reminder that despite the chaos we can have victory if we just abide in His word and His presence for then will we be sheltered and strengthened to go out and live like we believe again. Love Letter~ My child, I enjoy My faithful lovers. I adorn the humble with My beauty and I love to give you the victory. Let this go deep into your heart and take root. As you continually humble yourself before Me, I'll adorn you with My beauty. I wrap you in My love so you look like Me to the world around you. How beautiful is that? As you continue through the chaos of this world and as you continue to look to Me, I will open pathways of peace and victory. The pathway is seldom straight but full of ups and downs, but as you follow My direction you will have victory in everything you go through. Learn to put your faith in Me. Learn to trust Me and believe what I say. Rely on My Word to give you strength, support and direction. Meditate on My Word day and night, then you will have good success. Not just success, but good success. I cause things to move and work in your favor because you are faithful to Me. Continue to do ALL that I have called you to do and you will walk in My victory. Beloved, at the end you will receive a crown of life if you don't give up. ~DebraDolce

A guy named Joe finds himself in dire trouble. His business has gone bust and he's in serious financial trouble. He's so desperate that he decides to ask God for help. He begins to pray... "God, please help me. I've lost my business and if I don't get some money, I'm going to lose my house as well. Please let me win the lotto." Lotto night comes and somebody else wins it. Joe again prays... "God, please let me win the lotto! I've lost my business, my house and I'm going to lose my car as well". Lotto night comes and Joe still has no luck. Once again, he prays... "My God, why have you forsaken me?? I've lost my business, my house, and my car. My wife and children are starving. I don't often ask you for help and I have always been a good servant to you. PLEASE just let me win the lotto this one time so I can get my life back in order." Suddenly there is a blinding flash of light as the heavens open and Joe is confronted by the voice of God Himself: "Joe, meet Me halfway on this. Buy a ticket." Oh, wow, how many of us pray and ask God to bring a change in our circumstances, whatever they are, but we’re not willing to do the work? Oh, that we would pray…and then meet Him halfway! Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. What do you do when you get bad news? Do you park your thoughts on the news or move them to a solution? Today, may you be encouraged to move them towards a solution. She looked down at the ringing phone, and recognized the number immediately. Her heart skipped a beat, not sure if it would be good news or bad news. She almost let it go to voicemail but then thought better of it. She answered with the hopes that the news from the second mammogram would be good news. “Hey, Renee, what’s the verdict?” “Have you talked with Dr. Mehta?” “No, why?” The fear was mounting. “Well,” she began, “we need to bring you in for a biopsy.” She didn’t even pretend to be strong, or keep her cries silent. The sobs that came were a culmination of other things that had happened in the recent past, and once they started, there was no holding them back. Renee let her cry and comforted her with words of encouragement, assuring her that it would be benign like last time. She went on to explain she would be doing the biopsy and she was going to make sure it went smoother than the one before; that she was going to lie her down instead of having her sit up…and on and on and on. They scheduled the biopsy, and she tried to bring some humor into the situation. Renee laughed at her comment about making the right even with the left, and leaving her even more itty-bitty. The rest of the explanation and directions faded to the background. “After hanging up, reality collided with her present and all she wanted to do was quit. “Just one more thing,” she cried out to God in the stillness of her car. That thought ushered in another truth from a conversation earlier in the week with a mentor wherein they both agreed that we often take out of context the scripture in 1st Corinthians 10:13 where Paul talks about God not giving us more than we can bear…which has to do with temptation, not trials! But that can become murky ground when the temptation to give up during a trial becomes our focus instead of focusing on what to learn in the trial. The truth is that there is a sort of suffering that goes along with loving and following after Christ, not in a sadistic sort of way, but a suffering that permits God to cut away, refine, purify in the midst of a hardship and any unexplainable trial, even those caused by others choices. It is when we suffer well that our faith is made stronger for to die in the flesh is to walk in and by the Spirit. A businessman was in a great deal of trouble. His business was failing, he had put everything he had into the business, he owed everybody it was so bad he was even contemplating suicide. As a last resort he went to a pastor and poured out his story of tears and woe. When he had finished, the pastor said, "Here's what I want you to do, put a beach chair and your Bible in your car and drive down to the beach. Take the beach chair and the Bible to the water's edge, sit down in the beach chair, and put the Bible in your lap. Open the Bible; the wind will rifle the pages, but finally the open Bible will come to rest on a page. Look down at the page and read the first thing you see. That will be your answer, that will tell you what to do." A year later the businessman went back to the pastor and brought his wife and children with him. The man was in a new custom- tailored suit, his wife in a mink coat, the children shining. The businessman pulled an envelope stuffed with money out of his pocket and gave it to the pastor as a donation in thanks for his advice. The pastor recognized the benefactor, and was curious. "You did as I suggested?" he asked. "Absolutely," replied the businessman. "You went to the beach?" "Absolutely." "You sat in a beach chair with the Bible in your lap?" "Absolutely." "You let the pages rifle until they stopped?" "Absolutely." "And what were the first words you saw?" "Chapter 11." Oh, my goodness that was a good one…and hey, while I don’t know that he read the sign correctly, do what you need to do to get into the Word for your answers…to any situation. Or has it already been set in stone A story written exactly for this time Crafted with every piece and thought of you in mind And that’s where we compromise The ability to conceive that we have a power much greater than we can fathom realize The thoughts that run through our mind Are the thoughts that create our life Don’t you see how the stars align? That was no accident Every shimmering light Placed exactly when the moon meets the sky A portrait of His love The Almighty Judge That crafted us so intricately Where space and time are simply a constant in our lives and we have the gift to fill in between the lines With paint strokes colored by the beauty of our mind A beautiful, powerful mind Darling don’t hold it back Don’t you dare dim your light The world needs your kaleidoscope of colors To brighten the empty cellars Where we often hide Controlled by enemy lines Take control of the canvas He stands with us His sword Our paint brush His love Our rush “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance That thou stir up the gift of God, Which is in thee by the putting on of my handsFor God hath not given us the spirit of fear; But of power, And love, And of a sound mind” -2 Timothy 1:6-7 -Abigail Rice For more from today's author, visit instagram.com/ajourney2life Faith-Filled FridayWe’ve all heard the verse that says to much is given, much is required. In other words, how do we handle our blessings? Do we protect them so to increase them? Do we share them so as to multiply them? Today’s love letter is a great reminder of this Biblical principle.
Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. ~Love Letter~ My child, the one who manages the little he has been given with faithfulness and integrity will be promoted and trusted with greater responsibilities. But those who cheat with the little they have been given will not be considered trustworthy to receive more. Your integrity must keep you in the place where your gift or calling has brought you. How can I give you more or promote you when you are continually complaining about all I have blessed you with. If you see everything as a blessing it changes your heart posture. When you are complaining you miss the good things I am doing. Are you looking at the negative side of things or are you looking at the positive side? Everything that comes to you gives you a choice. Yes, some things are hard and even painful, but in and through Me, you can find a reason to be thankful and to rejoice in Me. Be so full and excited about life that you have an effect on everyone around you. Then, I can give you more because you are trustworthy. Beloved, be faithful in all that I have for you and as I move you forward, your joy will be full. ~DebraDolce Thursday's Truthful HumorWelcome to Thursday’s Truthful Humor where we pull truth from humor.
There was a little old cleaning woman that went to the local church. When the invitation was given at the end of the service, she went forward wanting to become a member. The pastor listened as she told him how she had accepted Jesus and wanted to be baptized and become a member of the church. The pastor thought to himself, "oh my, she is so unkempt, even smells a little, and her fingernails are not clean. She picks up garbage, cleans toilets - what would the members think of her." He told her that she needed to go home and pray about it and then decide. The following week, here she came again. She told the pastor that she had prayed about it and still wanted to be baptized. "I have passed this church for so long. It is so beautiful, and I truly want to become a member." Again the pastor told her to go home and pray some more. A few weeks later while out eating at the restaurant, the pastor saw the little old lady. He did not want her to think that he was ignoring her so he approached her and said, "I have not seen you for a while. Is everything all right?" "Oh, yes," she said. "I talked with Jesus, and he told me not to worry about becoming a member of your church." "He did?" said the pastor. “Oh, yes" she replied. "He said even He hasn't been able to get into your church yet, and He's been trying for years." There are so many truths here that we could pull from this little funny, but let’s stick to loving our neighbor as ourselves, even when they’re not as clean as we’d like them to be For more encouragement, join our Insta fam and Facebook community and take a tour at www.trenchclassesunited.com Read more at http://jokes.christiansunite.com/Church/ Wednesday’s WordI love buying new clothes, new sheets for our bed, new decorations for our home…let’s face it, I like just about anything new. There’s just something about putting on a new outfit…and feeling good in it. Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. I wonder if that’s why I like to move my furniture around a few times a year, because it makes it all look new, fresh. 😊 In this past year, in the midst of all the chaos upon us and my own personal storms, I began to get out in my backyard and do some serious work, including ripping out old ground cover, pulling up four to five foot roots, weeding, designing and planting. It was so…well, satisfying. Every time I go out there, I can now look to the left and breathe a sign of contentment because it looks amazing, and as I look up my hill, while it’s a work in progress, I am enjoying seeing the growth of the new ground cover in about half of it. But if I’m honest with myself, after the newness wears off, so does the excitement and I sort of become accustomed to it, not giving it near the attention I did when I first found it. I have to wonder, is that just our humanness, our human condition? I was reading something the other day that made me think of this conundrum: Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) says: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” In other words, His love, His grace NEVER grows old…They are unceasing, endless, and with each new day comes a new outpour of His love and grace! That just struck my soul the other day in such a beautiful way that though I may tire of things as the newness wears off, He never tires of me or of you; His love is NEW for me, and for you, every morning, and so is His grace! We just need to show up and receive it. Oh, that we would show up to receive His new mercies each morning which bring new life to any old thing. A young doctor had just opened office and felt really excited. His secretary told him a man was here to see him. The young doctor told her to send him in. Pretending to be a busy doctor, he picked up the phone just as the man came in. "Yes, that's right. The fee is $200. Yes, I'll expect you ten past two. Alright. No later. I'm a very busy man." He hung up and turned to the man waiting. "May I help you?" "No," said the man, "I just came in to install the phone." Oh, my talk about a piece of humble pie! Why is there a propensity to pretend to be someone other than who we are? Oh, God wants us to be comfortable in our own skin by allowing His love to perfect all our imperfections… For more encouragement join our Insta Fam, our Facebook Community www.facebook.com/trenchclassesunited and take a tour at www.trenchclassesunited.com Read more at Christians Unite Clean Jokes Monday's MessageCannot breathe
Cannot ease This feeling of anxiety Trapped inside of me Overtaking Overbearing I cannot carry this cross I am wearing Burden heavy Mind filled with thoughts that scare me How can I tarry? When so much is pressing I cannot even cry out for help For someone to lessen This load This sinking boat This storm inside me Waves presiding Begging to be washed up But the wind blows The sea ruts And more narrow we go Down into the groove The feeling of being misused The lies that feed on our every thought Our every move The tide high Beating us left and right simply here Along for the ride When did it become the norm to lay down and hide? Well stand up sister Swallow that pride Stand up and say no more Not this time I am a warrior A daughter who abides I live for the King The one who created me This season of bad weather Is simply a test to tether To come out of this storm Only to be made better So stand strong I will Letting go of the feels Looking in the mirror With a crown and no guilt I am a warrior A daughter A mother filled with light And loved like no other So stand strong Though this day May filled with darkness and dismay Know that no matter the words you utter to pray They are heard And soon that rope will break Because darling you were made Stronger than the eye of a hurricane -Abigail Rice For more from our author, visit instagram.com/ajourney2life |
