Co-incidence or God-incidents?

Wednesday’s Word
Picture
Have you ever been involved in a self-made pity party and God showed up?
Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Trench Classes United. Come on in for a relatable experience.
I was knee-deep in my self-made pity party, overwhelmed by hills of situations that suddenly looked like mountains. I began looking at reasons why I should just throw in the towel, not bother to climb yet another mountain and I started to voice those reasons in the form of questions, crying out, Lord, what am I missing? Why, oh why is this taking so long? Why, Lord, is so and so getting recognized like that? Why is that organization receiving funding? Why does this person and that person have so many followers? Why does ministry have to be so hard?
Suddenly my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID and was shocked, to say the least, because in the back of my mind I kept hearing this prompting to call her and ask for prayer.
Without boring you with the details of the conversation, let me just say that it definitely lifted my countenance and encouraged my soul by reminding me that I was not in this alone.  It was like a splash of water on a fire self-started with my playing with pity. In other words, the fire wasn’t completely out; there were still embers burning in my heart, but at least it wasn’t raging and threatening to destroy what God has done in me and through me. Within an hour there was another huge piece of encouragement, a much-needed and unexpected donation.
I got another splash of water a few hours later through another phone call from someone who offered to step up and help with a real sad situation, someone who isn’t even on our team! I knew these were God-incidents and not just a coincidence. The embers of doubt and self-pity were slowly fading.
As I was driving to my deposition the next day, the traffic slowed me down quite a bit and another prompting tugged on my heart. I pulled a handful of scriptures on 3x5 cards out of my console to feast upon. Don’t worry, I was paying attention to the road while testing my memory. This is a great way to distract your frustration in traffic, by the way. 😉
Surprise, surprise! God showed up again. 😊  What do you think was the first one that I read? Do not grow weary in doing good for in due time you shall reap if you do not lose heart! Gal 6:9
What a life preserver! And still yet, He hands me another: The Lord God is my strength; He makes my feet like deer’s feet; He makes me walk on my high hills. HAB. 3:19
Oh, how faithful He is to love me in my most unlovable moments, to show compassion and  mercy as an answer to all my questions.
If you’ve ever participated in a pity party, would you pray this prayer with me for yourself: “Oh, Abba, help me look to Your principles and promises to lift me up and out of my pity parties, to make my feet like deer’s feet that I would walk on the hills You placed before me and not grow weary of doing good, trusting You will bring the harvest forward in Your time.”
Love,

Monday’s Message
Picture
Hope                                                                                     Darling, don’t let it be
A beautiful thing                                                               Let hope sing
A beautiful invisible string                                             You are His precious and beautiful being
That we hold on to                                                          And even though it’s not how you planned to illustrate
We cling                                                                               those vibrant colors, those hopes, those dreams
are what keep us in perfect harmony
And we hold on to this hope
This clinging, whispering, clattering, cymbal in our ears    So let hope sing
symbol of God                                                                                   and wash away the sting
Concrete In our hearts                                                                   your wounds will heal
Our fortress                                                                                        your time will come
Our Rock

But when life doesn’t seem to go our way                             Yes, keep looking to His Son
that hope, it dissipates                                                                   for your time will come
Away from our hearts                                                                    where you will bask in the sun
Crushing our dreams
Ripping us apart slowly at the seams

He is never too early and He is never too late
Hold on to that hope
and let it permeate…all of you

 Faith Filled Friday
~Love Letter~
Good morning, My warrior. My grace is always more than enough for you, and My power finds its full expression through your weaknesses. So celebrate your weaknesses, for when you are weak you sense more deeply the mighty power of Me living in you.

I desire that you look to Me in all things; that you learn to trust Me and rely on Me; that you train your ear to hear My voice, to know the leading of the Holy Spirit. I don't lead you into bad situations and if you are listening to Me, you will never find yourself there.

Take an inventory of your life. Are there things that cause you to compromise yourself, your faith? Are you full of worldly desires, selfishness or bitterness? You say that I am your Lord, but you never let Me sit on the throne of your heart and life. I desire to be your Lord, your Savior, the King of your life.

Beloved, I desire to be the God that leads you out of the desert and into the promise land, where there is milk and honey.

From the heart of God thru…

When I say “elephant in the room,” what’s your first thought?

Tuesday’s Trench Truth
When I say “elephant in the room,” what’s your first thought?
This phrase originated in the early ‘50s and is a metaphor for an obvious truth that is either being ignored or going unaddressed. This expression also applies to an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss.
All kidding aside, life wasn’t meant to be walking around elephants in the room!
I hope you’ll join us in one of our locations

Monday’s Mantra
Picture
Have you ever watched a child jump off of something and into the arms of their parent? Perhaps you’ve actually been the recipient of that innocent, uninhibited and untainted ability to trust.
Welcome to Coffee Hour with Chicklit Power and Monday’s Mantra with Trench Classes United. I’m so happy you joined me today.
Every time I see a child unabashedly jump it just squeezes my heart with such a beautiful word picture of how our Father wants us to trust Him. Perhaps you are a person who has a hard time trusting…
No matter where you are in your journey, spiritual or otherwise, there are four things that we can trust about God which will feed our faith and fuel our hope; these attributes are nonnegotiable and are never, ever going to change. Nothing or no one can change them.
  1. His steadfast love; it never changes; never grows weary or irritable! You can’t earn it, burn it so learn itJ
  2. His provision – and this is in every area of your life: love life, financial life, parenting life, and His provision is also a form of protection.
  3. His promises: there are over 5,000 of them for you and me.
  4. His teaching and correcting: We must remain teachable to be taught the truth that trials and hardships are things He uses to refine us and bring us joy.
So Coffee Hour Friend, what circumstance or situation is pushing you to the edge of the ledge, bringing you face to face with the opportunity to just jump, like a child, into the arms of God and trust Him for?
Thoughtfully,
Kim-Evinda
