Wednesday Word The receptionist on the other end of the phone said “Let me check if he has any availability
today and if not, we’ll have to put you on his calendar for next week.” Impatience pushed her response: “I can’t wait; I need to get these invoices out like yesterday. Can you please just connect me to Charles who helps us with QuickBooks problems.” How many times are we asked to wait for one thing or another? Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim Evinda and Trench Classes United. Today’s blog is a great reminder that life’s answers for many lessons are found in the waiting. “Let me see if he is available.” Thank you she replied. As she waited, she realized that she could struggle and strive in the waiting, or she could lean in, look and/or learn while waiting. She wasn’t new to this concept of waiting and yet, she couldn’t help but think she was missing something truly meaningful about it because she just wasn’t getting any better at it. Her thoughts travelled to almost three years ago when her life had taken a drastic turn towards a life-changing tragedy. She had been reading a book whose author had been going thru the same type of tragedy and had endured for three years the pain, suffering and uncertainty as God worked in and through it. The receptionist’s voice interrupted her thoughts. “Let me connect you to Charles.” Within minutes her problem was resolved. She thanked him and returned to her thoughts. She remembered practically yelling out to God and her words haunted her with a sense of humility: “I WILL NOT GO THRU THIS FOR THREE YEARS, GOD! Don’t ask me to wait that long. I can’t; I just can’t.” And here she was, four and a half years later…waiting for the promises that God had made her. She was still a bit confused in the waiting, but confusion no longer stole from her infusion of His steadfastness, His love and His grace. Yes, in this SOAR (Season of Adultery Recovery), she was still learning the steps of waiting that He had begun to show her when the nightmare first began:
Psalms 37:7 says to rest in the Lord…wow, have you ever thought of waiting as resting? Habakkuk 2:3 says: For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Oh that I wouldn’t be found off course so as to miss it! Yes, friends, God will do as He promises in His time, but oftentimes there’s a period of waiting that has so much for us. Waiting in His Grace, Kim-Evinda Tuesday Trench Truth Miriam Webster’s defines “relationship” in this way: the way in which two or more people,
groups, countries, etc., talk to, behave toward, and deal with each other. The way in which two or more people are connected, or the state of being connected. Did you know that there are 5,734 different relationships talked about in the Bible? I’m thinking HE wants us to understand the significance, the importance of this idea of relationships. He created relationships to work for us not against us. can’t understand? Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Message with Abigail Rice and Trench Classes United. Today’s message is a great reminder of comfort for those times where we just don’t get it and don’t want to. The enemy is walking around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may trick or deceive, but hold fast to the One who has the victory! Eyes watering Heart throbbing Hands as numb As the person I’ve become Because it’s easier to say he won With his lying tongue Than it is to get back up and fight for the millionth time This night This day This morning I pray That when you feel like you can no longer take this That you just can’t break this Remember you were created for this Soldier Daughter Mother With a heart full of love and a laugh like no other Your soul is on fire For it’s one true desire But the flesh It bites back With every enemy attack How to unpack? Or even fathom Or begin To feel like you have the upper hand? When no one is around that seems to understand How can you swallow that pill Not knowing who you are Or how to even feel? The confusion is real The delusion to heal But when His Word is your meal You lick the crumbs off the plate Hoping that this Is not just a momentary bliss and He reminds you of this “Nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your dawn” - (Isaiah 60:3) Darling, you must go on The cold winds may bite your face But this is not your fate To feel so small Like you can’t go on Darling you must remove the object of your lust Your desire to know and always be in control Is taking a toll As you get hit Blow after blow Remember and know I called you to this I will pull you out of this thick Let go of your grip and remember before all you were made for this… Abigail Faith-Filled Friday It’s that time of year where life seems to be put on steroids, and we get

Today’s Love Letter is a great reminder of where and how we can find that quality quiet place. ~Love Letter~ My warrior, I offer a resting place for you in My luxurious love. My directions take you to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. Meditate on this wonderful promise. Close your eyes and be swept away by My love. Remember, the Apostle Paul said that he was caught up to the third heaven–whether in his body or out he could not tell. He was meditating on My love, My goodness. No matter what situation you find yourself in, you can always spend time meditating on Me, on My love, on My peace and let it guide you to that quiet brook of bliss. I desire all My children to learn how to live out of this place, defeating the chaos that tries to rob you of all that I offer to you. It's exciting for you to know I'm as close as your breath. Breathe Me in until you feel your whole being relaxed. That feeling of relaxing is Me taking the struggle that you've been carrying for so long. As you meditate on Me, the troubles and trials are put in their right perspective, and you are infused with my strength and my peace. Beloved, I desire you to be filled with My love and be fully equipped for life. ~DebraDolce Trench Truth Thankfulness The word “thank” and all its forms is in His Love Letters to us more than
365 times. I can’t help but think that’s one a day! In the toughest of times, God reminds us that while we may not necessarily be thankful for that circumstance, we can still practice being thankful while in the circumstance. As you gather with friends and family this Thanksgiving, may you reflect on a circumstance that you may not have been thankful for while going through it, but looking back, you can see His hand all over it that got you through it. Truthfully, Kim-Evinda Wednesday Word Dear Blog Reader,
Every time I read this poem which I wrote several years ago, I can’t help but smile. I pray it does the same for you while keeping your perspective thankful. Enjoy and, please, reach out and let me know your thoughts. Twas the night before Thanksgiving all through the house Every creature was stirring, including the mouse Everyone was working on all of the fixings The noise and smells were coming from the kitchen The children were busy with their tablets and toys Captured in their games, they made not a noise While the adults laughed and worked all collectively What a beautiful sight it was for any heart to see When all of a sudden there arose such a clatter Mom ran to the kitchen to see what was the matter She looked to the left and she looked to the right She couldn’t believe what was in plain sight There was broken glass from a favorite platter And at first glance, she knew it didn’t matter Everyone was frozen, waiting for her reaction But she didn’t give the devil that satisfaction The counters were a mess, preparations everywhere It looked as though a tornado had just gone thru there The turkey had flown from the platter to the floor The poor thing looked like it just couldn’t take no more The stove was a disaster waiting to happen full of pots and pans, handles overlapping The old mom would have immediately gotten on her broom And painted the atmosphere with a bit of doom and gloom But the new and improved mom was no longer that way For she had learned the true meaning of Thanksgiving Day She stared at each of them and the mess they surrounded Knowing her response would leave them astounded Now sons, now daughters, in-laws and friends like family Is this ever a sight for the eyes of my heart to see? More than the chaos, the mess on the floor The memories we’re making are worth so much more So grab a rag, and a dishtowel too Here’s one for each and every one of you Let’s work together in cleaning up this mess It will only take a few minutes or less Pick up the turkey, and we’ll wash him off We’ll stuff him but good and put him in the trough We’ll baste him all over, and get him ready to eat No one will ever know we stepped on his feet And when the morrow comes and we gather for the meal We’ll be able to discern what matters and what’s real Faith, family, friends, love and laughter Help to bring us all the happily ever after I looked to each of them with tears in my eyes And said something I had just realized Oh, why can’t it be Thanksgiving every day? Loving each other in a Christ-like way Patience, self-control, love and joy too Are there for the asking for each of you We don’t have to wait for a holiday to see That Christ’s greatest gift is that of family Thankful, Kim-Evinda Tuesday Trench Truth Life is sure happening all around us, right?! There are so many who are
struggling for various reasons. Whether it be financial struggles, health issues, losses of loved ones, we struggle to understand, Why is God allowing this? Yes, it’s true that all things go through His hand, but -- this is a big but -- He still holds us in His hand and is working it out for our good and His glory. Can I encourage you to take that leap of faith, rest in His hand and let Him do His work that you too may exclaim with praise, I may not be perfect, life’s not perfect but He’s got me in His hand and He’s perfecting me in the process. Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. Today’s Love Letter is a great reminder that as a Christ follower, we need to watch out for those going in the wrong direction, causing emotional wrecks and dividing His Church, and move toward them in love. ~Love Letter~ Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of My grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many. This is a good Word of instruction. It is important for you to surround yourself with people who love you and with whom you respect. Why? Because they will tell you the truth and if you are lacking in any of these areas. My Word reminds you that iron sharpens iron. This is so needed in My body right now. People don't want to say anything to anybody for fear of rejection. But when I show you something it's because I desire you to move on behalf of another. Bring situations that I show you to Me and intercede on behalf of others so that I may direct your path. Let Me direct you so your words will speak to the hearts of those that have grown cold, those who have forgotten of My grace. Yes, there are those that don't take instruction well. When you are confronted with this, spend time in prayer to get your direction in the way you should go. I have shown you such an example in Paul, who would bring out sins of bitterness, pride and selfish motives that were being overlooked or accepted. He expressed his desire for Me to save their soul. By looking out for one another, you cause healing not only in each other but also in the body. Beloved, know that speaking life is not just being passive but it's speaking the truth in love so that true repentance will come into the hearts of those you speak truth to. ~DebraDolce |
