Tuesday Trench Truth Thanks so much for joining us for Thursday’s Trench Truth, which is all about
relationships and will be for a few weeks as we head on into our Relationship Trench Class, How to Love Who You Love. Do you usually anticipate and meet the needs of those you love making you the giver more often than not in your relationships, or…you can say no to others even when you know they’ll be upset? For those of us who are concerned about others’ well-being before our own run the risk of burnout, fueled by resentment and other negative emotions all of which lead to broken relationships. It’s a crazy cycle but today I want to share with you an opportunity to break that cycle! Yes, that’s right, join us in a trench near you to learn how to love who you love, beginning with yourself. Let’s face it, never has there been a greater need for relational help than now. A virus has wreaked not only physical havoc in our worlds but emotional and spiritual as well. Join us to learn how to love in such a time as this. For more information, click How to Love Who You Love Tickets, Thu, Jan 19, 2023 at 6:30 PM | Eventbrite

Monday Message The only way out
Is through The prison cell Grew A place in my heart I never knew A voice in my head I tried to depart When all along It was whispering Start Start right here Right where you are and don’t look back Because that girl is gone You may still desire to be her To go back to that seamless life Where there was no malice Contempt Or strife When you could look at a knife and not want to take your life When everything seemed to be perfectly alright You grasped on tight Not ready to let go You became your only foe and this I want you to know This is not a show I am calling you To go Forth into the wilderness letting go Of all bitterness This life is not your own and I am here to help you grow But in order to grow You must first root deep To find that surpassing peace The mystery Of who you are Is not far If you can just seek Me The missing piece The wind that sings Beckoning, daughter Come to Me All who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28) Let go of the trying Let go of the striving and know that you are your best Wave after wave Test after test Lay it all down I have washed your feet They have been shod with peace Now come and follow Me and we will defeat Every lie and every attack Of the enemy For in Me There is victory “And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace” - Ephesians 6:15 |
