Wednesday Word Have you ever been so worried about something that it literally consumed almost every waking
moment? Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. Today’s word points us to the truth that there is a difference between concerned and consumed. She sat still, as was her custom to do every morning before doing anything else. The music tugged at her heart, massaging it gently, softening the soul. Her eyes welled up as she revisited the news from the day before from one of her dearest friends. Thank you for joining us today for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. What do we do when we get bad news? Does it concern us, or do we allow it to consume us? Today’s blog will share the difference. “Lord, I know, from experience, that YOU use ALL things, so I’m asking you to reveal the good from this one sooner than later.” The “C” word (not COVID) had struck again, too close to home with this friend and his family. Psalm 138:8: The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. No matter what situation you or I find ourselves in, this verse is a powerful source of encouragement. It can be a life preserver amid the sea, an anchor for our souls. What is so sovereign about this verse is it speaks to us differently EVERY time we read it. Why or how? Because life keeps happening and with life comes different storms of trials and circumstances. Friend, in this global time of uncertainty, may I encourage you to look at this verse, read it, then say it aloud again and again. I guarantee you that when you do this and allow it to soak into your soul, it will bloom in your life: Psalm 138:8: The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. Now put the “thing that concerns you” in that portion of scripture. I’ll go first: The Lord will perfect my friend’s family thru this bio duct cancer… Here’s the condition to the promise: Does it concern us or consume us? If it’s consuming us, then we’re not trusting Him to perfect whatever it is that is concerning. What is the “thing that concerns” you? Is it finances, your job, and all the other monetary things that are being threatened by this global pandemic? What if we were to live like we believed the words in this promise? Well, I can tell you by experience that He will use it to perfect you in the process to prepare you for the promise, not allowing ourselves to be consumed by that which concerns us. Concerned but not consumed, Kim-Evinda

Tuesday Trench Truth Thanks for joining me for Tuesday’s Trench Truth.
I can’t tell you how many times I reach for Google’s help, especially as a court reporter when I can’t understand a word a doctor has said, or any witness for that matter, or getting the spelling of a school, college, street…Google is great, right? Well, what if we were to reach out to God for grace like we reach out to Google for answers? And then extend that grace to others. It’s when we understand grace that in a world where almost anything goes, we can choose to be kind! Make it a terrific Tuesday. Gripped in His Grace, Kim-Evinda Monday Message Have you ever played hide-in-seek with littles, and revealed where you were because you
couldn’t stop laughing? Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Message with Abigail Rice an Trench Classes United. Today’s poem has several visual examples of just how omnipresent God’s love is. Your love is immeasurable Like layers of clouds Different depths Different heights Yet all the same light Peeking through the morning sky Coming alive From the darkest of nights His love never ceases to shine The red bird sings As the monarch floats by So delicately Each flap of their wings Knowing that they are free But when the door closes on me I can no longer see Lost and confused Wondering which way to move Looking for a key That was never meant for me Not realizing The beauty Of this door closed in front of me Through the blinds I can still see His love chasing after me Reminding me I am Free Just depend upon Me and you will soon see The beauty behind the curtain As you open it for now Soft and slow Not meant for show But for the world to know A different kind of glow No matter how far No matter how deep Your search won’t be complete Until you realize I am the key |
