Wednesday Word She pulled out of her driveway and called Destination Assist as she pulled up to the stop sign. Within minutes, her route was downloaded into her GPS, making her life so much simpler. She often told people she couldn’t find her way out of a paper box if her life depended upon it. She smiled to herself remembering the verse she had shared that morning, grateful for the very direct directions given in that verse to a destination that many had a hard time finding.
Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. Do you ever find yourself lost on your way to “happy?” Today’s blog gives some pretty clear directions and distinctions on how to not only arrive there but stay awhile 😊 “God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner [the one unforgiven who has not confessed Jesus as their Savior] he gives the task of gathering…” Ecclesiastes 2:26 How often do we beg and even try to bargain with God during a challenging time in an important relationship, let alone any type of suffering? We may say things like, “God, please open their eyes, please help them to see, please change them,” right? I have learned, albeit the hard way [sometimes the only way I learn 😊] that God is invested in our character more than He is our happiness. Now please hear what I’m not saying: I’m not saying He wants us miserable and unhappy. No, not at all. In fact, there are many more scriptures that talk about how to be happy. What I am saying is that He wants you and me happy, but character has to come first. About a year and a half into my own season of suffering, I finally started asking for wisdom, knowledge and understanding instead of pointing at my husband while focusing on my own pain. My fellow sojourner, there is a pathway to “happy,” and it requires us letting go of resentments; it requires us to stop pointing the finger at the other person and their sin [that makes us a sinner too] and it requires us to ask of God for wisdom and knowledge. And when we ask with a sincere heart, He not only grants us wisdom and knowledge but understanding too. It is then that happiness is ushered in, easing our burden. Encouraging you in your journey, Kim-Evinda

Tuesday Truthful Humor Monday Message Can you backtrack to that thought?
You know that one that got you here Spiraling out Can’t even fake a smile now Because of something you said To yourself In the mirror And now you are here Nowhere near To the goodness and the light that you bring to this world, my dear So I fear that it is time Time to try To try on that smile To let your mind ponder And wonder all the while Why did you tell yourself that? Your body is beautiful Your brain is magnificent Affirm that You are a daughter of The King A radiant light beam And you You are filled with divine energy So let yourself be Not just a human being because you are being too hard on yourself You let yourself delve Let yourself wail now backtrack And pick up that pail The one you dumped out with all those negative thoughts Pick it up and go to the well Draw in the Living Waters Let your spring overflow With splendor and might The true nature of your kind Because your kind is so rare A crown you do wear As a chosen child A royal priesthood A holy nation Filled by His supplication With a divine calling and a heavenly destination "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, A people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellence of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;" - 1 Peter 2:9 -Abigail Rice Faith Filled Friday How many of us get lost in our frustrations, feelings of betrayal? When love guides, we can’t get lost. Thanks for joining us for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United.
When love guides, we are protected in a way that is different, a way that brings peace to the soul. Love stands the test of fire. Today’s love letter is a beautiful illustration of this very thing. Love Letter~ My dear one, love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best of others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up. Come and spend time with Me and in My Word that you may be filled and walk in this kind of love. I desire that you love people to life, not discriminating against those who may seem a little rough around the edges. Are you better than them? Do you think you're a little superior because you're more "enlightened" in your own mind? Everything that is given to you is given to help you and then to be shared with all who will listen. If you become proud because of your knowledge, will you be operating with pure motives? Beloved, check your motives in everything you do for when it is tested with fire, only what's done for Me will last. ~DebraDolce Thursday Truthful Humor Thanks so much for joining me today for Thursday’s Truthful Humor where laughter comes first and then a little truth follows.
So why do we do what we do for whom we do it? This little joke begs this question: There were 11 people hanging on to a rope that came down from a helicopter. Ten were men and one woman. They all decided that one person should get off because if they didn't, the rope would break, and everyone would die. No one could decide who should go. Well, the woman gave a really touching speech on how she would give up her life to save the others, because women were used to giving up things for their husbands and children and giving in to men. All of the men started clapping. It is a well-known fact that women wear a lot of hats, but so do men. See, women have more words…and use them, and I don’t know about you, but sometimes I can make it known in my house that I’m sacrificing or doing this and doing that…but when I remember to do all that I’m doing for Him, suddenly the giving gets easier and resentment leaves. The gritting of the teeth, the grunts and groans, the pained expression of will power and sheer determination are captured by the camera and then suddenly, almost unexpectedly, like an assault to our senses, they let go and plunge to…
Welcome to Wednesday’s Word with Trench Classes United and Kim-Evinda. There are circumstances in life that have us doing just that, holding on with all our might, sheer strength powered by determination and a belief that if only…but there comes a point where we must surrender our will, let go and let ourselves fall into the love and protection of our Father. It is in that letting go that we discover that we don’t have to give up hope; in fact, letting go leaves us free to grab onto Hope. And We don’t have to help in the matter; we just need to let go of the matter that has us in such a fight or flight plan of action. If you’re anything like me, especially when I’m hurting emotionally, the propensity to say, “Yeah, but what if I do this, or say that, or say this” is so great sometimes that I lose sight of the freedom of falling into His love, His grace, His plan for my life. That is what this type of letting go is like: free-falling and landing on the foundation of love and grace ever so gently while experiencing healing for the hurt that found me grappling for control in the first place. Friend, when the temptation comes to grab ahold of whatever it is we’re supposed to let go of, may we allow ourselves to fall once again into the presence, protection and provision of Him whose plans are to lift us up, to prosper us, give us a future, and a hope. Letting go… Kim-Evinda Tuesday Truthful Humor Thanks for joining me for Tuesday’s Truthful Humor where a little giggle comes first.
Now I think it’s safe to say that many – well, I’ll just speak for myself. Aging isn’t for the weak woman! Here’s a little funny to share what I mean: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst, for they are sticking to their diets. Life is an endless struggle full of frustrations and challenges, but eventually you find a hairstylist you like. You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster. Time may be a great healer, but it's also a lousy beautician. Age doesn't always bring wisdom. Sometimes age comes alone. I don't mind the rat race, but I could do with a little more cheese. Age is important only if you're cheese or wine. The only time a woman wishes she were a year older is when she is expecting a baby. Freedom of the press means no-iron clothes. Oh my gosh, yes we are aging….BUT 2nd Corinthians 4:16 tells us NOT TO LOSE HEART: Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day. Therefore we do not lose heart. That is why we never give up. Can I encourage you to do something that renews your inner being? Love, Kim-Evinda For more clean humor go to Christianhumor.com Monday Message What a mess But Oh, how blessed I am! What a wreck But look at this ship I am in With the waves that crash around me The sails whipping in the winds that surround me But here I am At the bow I stand Letting it all sink in seeing all that I have been given The gifts And the trenches The holes and the pits The dirt from the ditches But here I am Cleansed By His blood that was shed His life and His spirit left To spend eternity with us All because we were simply created by His mighty hand His craftsmanship and what are we? But the stewards of His ship To make fishers of men Reeling in His heart Left with a job Until we depart To be more than just the dust from the stars But to be His jars That He fills up daily Like the potter that needs his clay So we also need to pray To draw in from the well So our minds do not swell Turning into waves that control our boats And we are left with nothing but a float But if we can just grasp The little bit of time that we have To see that all of our needs Are met by simply sowing His seeds For what we sow We will also reap and time It bewilders me Because to Him A day May be a week And a week May be a century But all we can see Is what is right in front And in between So we dream We dream of a future Where He is more than our tutor Where we can dream a dream That becomes reality Where our ship is more than just our means To get by Our transport from tide to tide But our boat will lead to our abode Our final home If we can just let Him steer And learn to let go With our good Lord guiding us as the sun And the stone That moves mountains And surrounds us That is above and all around us For wherever we go Whether it be down to the depths of Sheol Or within our inner souls He is there And our future He has foretold So why not see that where we are now is a moment to be proud? To be living in this blessing And stop the second guessing Because All you are called to be Is within reach His child That He so longs to teach So let it be known That you are ready to grow and He He is your home “Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalms 23:6 -Abigail Rice Faith-Filled Friday We all like presents…but some of us feel awkward opening them in front of others, especially the giver.
Thanks for joining us today for Faith-Filled Friday with Debra Dolce and Trench Classes United. Did you know the greatest present to be unwrapped is the Word of God, for it contains a gift that keeps on giving? Today’s Love Letter is a beautiful reminder of this truth. Love Letter~ My chosen one, as you unwrap My Words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your being. This is a wonderful promise. Unwrapping My Word is more than just reading it. Oh, for you to be enmeshed in My Word, letting it do its perfect work. Now that is true revelation. Continue to enmesh yourself each day letting My Word bring clarity, letting it bring healing to your very soul. Let all that you are, be engulfed in My love as you receive revelation from My Word each day. Come away with Me. Let My love and compassion overtake you. I desire to share so much with you. Can you not step out of your all-consuming life and step into the secret place where true life flows? Without Me life is empty, with a continual search for fulfillment. Let your search come to an end right here at the foot of the cross, where the self in man dies and the new man is continually brought forth. Beloved, I desire that you be whole and complete in Me, nothing broken and nothing missing. ~DebraDolce Thursday Truthful Humour Thanks for joining me today for Thursday’s Truthful Humour where I try and share a giggle and some truth too 😊
I don’t know about you, but computer problems more often than not, tend to send me to frapping frustration in a nano second but this little piece of humour offers a different perspective! Our new office computer system was down as much as it was working. My co-worker Cathy decided to stay late one evening to catch up on the work that had accumulated. On her way home, a police officer stopped her for speeding. "What a perfect end to an awful day!" she exclaimed. "Our computer is up, then down -- up, then down. I stay late to catch up, and now this!" The officer was unaffected by Cathy's griping, and he went to his car to prepare a citation. After what seemed an eternity, he returned with her license and registration. As he handed them to her, he smiled and said, "Out of order; it’s your lucky day” Ah, something good always comes from something bad!
