Renew in me a heart much cleaner
Free of darkness
Once again a believer
Spilling Your truths into me
Open my eyes
So that I may not only behold your glory
Upon the morning sky
But also be aware of my own demise
As we continue to fight
In this battle we call life
Quarrels and strife
The enemy attempts to strike our line
But a cord of three strands cannot be broken
By any man
Or devil alike
What you have forespoken
May just be hidden from us on the other side of the token
But at times
We are so blind
Only seeing the gold that shines
Or focusing too hard on the dirt and grime
This is Your will
We can realize
The factors of reality
We will continue to face our own crimes
As we try to take control
Like a child with a remote
Assuming justice is something we can hold
and our downfall is simply that we believe we know
The plans of our God
Or how long
The windowsill flower will grow
But this life is bestowed
and forever we will owe
The One we call our home
Let us to Him
Our hearts always be known
"My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.
Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when they lips speak right things.
Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in fear of the Lord all day long.
For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way."
