Tuesday Trench Truth
I just read a novel by Kristen Hanna called Home Front, which described
the price that our service men and women pay for our freedom. The main
character, who was a helicopter pilot, lost her leg in the Iraq war, and it
went into great detail about the struggles of learning to live with part of her
gone. However, Romans 8:28 rings clearly throughout the story for in the
losing of her leg, she found her true identity.
Today, as we celebrate in our own way with family and friends, may we
remember that freedom is never free, but it is freeing. Say a prayer for all of
our service men and women.
