Wednesday’s Word I love buying new clothes, new sheets for our bed, new decorations for our home…let’s face it, I like just about anything new. There’s just something about putting on a new outfit…and feeling good in it.
Welcome to Coffee Hour with Chicklit Power and Wednesday’s Word with Trench Classes United. If I’m honest with myself, after the newness wears off, so does the fondness diminish and I sort of become accustomed to it, not giving it near the attention I did when I first found it. Or what about the child who just had to have the newest, latest, greatest toy…until the next one came out. Is that just our humanness? I was reading something the other day that made me think of this conundrum: Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) says: 22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” In other words, His love, His grace NEVER grows old…They are unceasing, endless, and with each new day comes a new outpour of His love and grace! That just struck my soul the other day in such a beautiful way that though I may tire of things as the newness wears off, He never tires of me or of you; His love is NEW for me, and for you, every morning, and so is His grace! We just need to show up and receive it. I pray that inspires your soul and comes to life in your life! Love, Kim-Evinda
