Tuesday Trench Truth
So yesterday, as I was leaving to run errands, I saw a warning light on
my dashboard. I recognized it as I had seen it before; it was a low tire
pressure signal. I scanned through the display to determine which tire
and learned it was my back right tire.
Now if I hadn’t paid attention to that, what do you think would have
happened? Personally, that’s not a risk I’m willing to take as I tend to be
a bit heavy on the pedal, if you know what I mean.
We all have an emotional dashboard, and if we ignore the warnings
from an undealt with hurt of any type, we go on to cause emotional
wrecks in the lives of others, especially those we love.
In the trenches we learn to understand the value of recognizing what
we’re feeling as close to when we’re feeling it so as to avoid those
collisions, if you will.
We have a saying: Feelings aren’t wrong or right; they just are; we can’t
let them drive the car.
Identifying what you’re feeling prevents emotional wrecks.
Have a terrific Tuesday
