People are the priority

How often during our time
Do we think about time
and prioritize time well spent?
 
What does it mean to truly give?
To truly give away your time
In order to find what lies behind
 
How often do we retreat?
In hopes of seeking our own inner peace
To let go and let be
Even when there is no sense of clarity
 
The unknowns of true love
Can ultimately be summed up
To giving our own space, time, and grace
To the people God has placed
Right here
Right in front of your face
 
Those people need you
and you need them
 
Moments with a true friend
Are a Godsend
 
We just never realize
What lies begin those tired eyes
When the surface level speech
Is always just good
Or “oh I’m just fine”
 
Dig deep
Listen in
Be kind
Be meek
and most of all let your love be
The light others truly need
 
Just as Jesus withdrew
So must you
To have moments of quiet solitude
To start your day afresh
and renewed
 
But your cup can never be filled
By only you
 
Let others come in
Let them see your messy truth
and give them your all
Your every last drop
 
Like the jar of oil
That multiplied
filling others to the top
That true love of Christ will never ever stop
 
So give
and let give
Be
and let be
The human being
The missing piece
In the puzzle of our destiny
 
Because you just might be the only Jesus someone else may see ~
“Elisha said to her, what shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you [of sale value] in the house? She said, Your handmaid has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.

Then he said, Go around and borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels - and not a few. And when you come in, shut the door upon you and your sons. Then pour out [the oil you have] into all those vessels, setting aside each one when it is full…When the vessels were all full, she said to her son, Bring me another vessel. And he said to her, There is not a one left. Then the oil stopped multiplying.” - 2 Kings 4:1-4,6
