Monday’s Message

A girl loses her best friend
A mother's baby doesn't make it the end
A daughter loses her father
and the world gets a little darker
 
and in an instant
Life's fickle
And funny way
Of showing us the price He paid
 
Scorned
Heart broken
Reborn
We mourn
The loss of a love
The loss of a life
Anger
Hearts filled with strife
 
How long does grief last?
There isn't a moment that goes past
I don't think about you
Your beauty
Your grace
That sweet look upon your face
So careless
So free
 
Why did you have to leave?
Leave me like this
Without you there is no bliss
Just moments that fly by
and it is you that I miss
Don’t leave me like this…
 
Quiet your mind
Quiet your soul
The heart hurts
But the spirit knows
So listen close
You are not alone
 
A glimpse of heaven
Is what you have provided me
A hope to hold on to
and the heart's song knows
That this earth is only our temporary home
To a better place we will go
 
and praises we will still sing
To our Almighty King
He provides us exactly what we need
He gives and He takes
But it is always the right place
The right time
and soon we will shine
As we continue on as His earthly light
