Mondays Message We go into the depths as we hold our breath
Knowing that the deeper we go The harder it gets Gasping for air We tend to forget Who or what are we struggling for? Deeper into the darkness we go Our feet heavy They tread unsteadily But we continue on Because we know that with every new dawn There is new day And with every day We wake up and pray Thanking God for not only life and breath But to also believe And as we believe we also speak So speak truth and speak light Never letting go of the reason we fight The reason you wake at the dawn of every new day Is by the grace of His mercies And so we pray "Lord, give us this day" As we long for His yearnings To be more than hearts beating and mouths speaking But to be witnesses of His love Living out our callings from above Though we tread into the darkness We remember where our heart is For we are "persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed" And we live on despite our maladies and unthinkable realities Because we have this burning desire We seek and aspire To be His children, His witnesses, His people blessed by His forgiveness We share His love because we are His descendants. "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of s despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; stuck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death works in us, but life in you. But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, 'I believed, therefore I spoke', knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you." - 2 Corinthians 4:7-14
