Our Creator Is Invested In Us To Work Thru Us

Do you like who you are becoming?
Or are you tired of running?
Weary of the days
That just seem to pass away
A vapor
a breath
No mental break
Or way to escape
 
That’s numbing
Numbing to the way
This culture wants you to think
 
You were created
Handmade
By the same Maker
Who shifts the tides
And breaks the waves
 
You are wholly
Wholly other
and Set apart
 
and all you have to do
Is let go
Say “yes”
and just start…
 
It doesn’t matter
It doesn’t matter if you feel deserving
Or if it feels slightly unnerving
 
It doesn’t matter if you feel qualified
For the call
He has placed upon us all
 
The call to feel
The call to know
and to be known
By our Creator
Our Savior
The One who has rescued us all
 
Even though we fall
And we plead
As we scrape away at this life
Falling down on our knees
We get back up again
By His power invested in me
 
His will be done
His kingdom come
Not for my sake
But for the sake of others
Not for my name
But for His Holy name
By His grace
We have been saved
 
We have been redeemed
Not to live on this earth in peace and harmony
But to create a piece
Of His heaven here on earth
For His people
His promise
Wholly other
Purely honest
 
That one day soon
He is coming
and He will rescue our brokenness
 
Our hearts made anew
Our minds set free
Bound in this life full of captivity
 
But your chains
Your chains have been broken
So you can help others see
 
So we can build up one another
In His name
By His power
and because of His grace
And love
Forever abounding ing
We continue
Multiplying
Not dividing
One nation
Under God
Full hearts
Wholly other
Set apart
