Monday’s MessageWe pray before we eat Before we leave But, do we pray before we speak? What words will we say When our Creator we will meet? Maybe something unordinary… possibly something extraordinary Either way When that day comes and we meet face to face falling on my knees I will say: Father, forgive me for my mortal ways My sinful nature My speak now, save later Rage Stubborn Selfish demeanor Who am I? Not a leader But what have I become? A mother A teacher A calling beyond my skills Because when I pray I pray Your will A place where I feel still Despite the chaos The turmoil and spilt milk Within Your presence I begin to feel A peace A purpose Words bubbling up from beneath the surface My heart of stone Cracking open No longer alone Your blood runs through me Warming my bones This life So new to me A new place A fresh start Engrave your words upon my heart Let me be your instrument Your pen A beacon to Your children Word of God speak Breathe life into me and when I pray I will do so boldly Not only Before I eat and in the morning before I leave Bur during all hours of the day Lord, I dare pray That you mold me Show me your way Before I speak Before I leave Before I make my imprint upon the day Mark my path Lead me straight Shod my feet With the Gospel of Peace -Ephesians 6:15 -Abigail Rice Find more from the author at instagram.com/ajourney2life
