Monday Word What is your usual routine when you wake up in the morning? Do you rush for your phone, a cup of coffee, both?
Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Message, a great reminder that when we reach for Him first, we won’t be last. In the early morning I find you In the quiet of the garden You are there All around Your presence draws near No performance No recited prayer Just a moment A breath A conversation and rest Resting in knowing That You, my God My Guide Are All Knowing All Powerful All Truth Nothing I do Can ever make me enough for You But I am Enough For You to reach down and touch In moments where I feel I need to be everything from point A to point B You see You see the perfectionist tendencies and gently remind me To just be To be still To move To know that no two days will ever be the same And that’s okay Because in those sweet quiet morning hours In the afternoon when the sun beams shower In the evening with the slowdown of living You are there No performance No plan No perfection Could withstand The power of Your grace and the favor of Your love As the dew melts away From the heat of the sun There you are Like a dove Bringing back the promise of new land Your face hidden no more My God, My friend “Neither will I hide my face anymore from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord.” - Ezekiel 39:29 Abigail Rice
