Monday’s Message

Wherein does true happiness lay?
As the day breaks
The earth quakes
My mind awakes
As the sun overlays
Radiates
The clouds they dissipate
But where is our joy
If with every breathe
We do not thank?
We do not pray?
Simply being is not enough to stay
And the skies they turn gray
The wind rolling us away
Like a leaf we crunch
we crumble
Letting the weather dictate our place
As the seasons change
Our fate we face
Can we seek to find happiness in the most simple of things?
The way the earth quakes
The mountains move
They rumble
They shake
As that sound of His most high
His glorious name
Yet, we are belittled by the most mundane
Letting this world bellow and bay
As a donkey seeking shelter
A warm place to lay
and lay down we may
But will we get up as the sun rises the next day?
As long as I am alive
From my lips I will sing your praise
As honey that drips
Sweet freedom
The sail of my ship
Take my wails
Take my woes
Take my from my enemies
My foes
And place my feet firmly
Upon the place You call home
& from there forever my joy be bestowed
