Sharing ushers in caring

​Tuesday Trench Truth

Thanks for joining me for Tuesday’s Trench Truth.
Last week, a few of our trenchers and myself got together to just get
together…and wow, it turned out to be an evening of sharing and caring.
We did a little exercise of writing down a situation or circumstance that
wasn’t just concerning us but consuming us in a way that had us feeling
frustrated and even hopeless.

When each of us had shared, I asked them to tell me if they saw any sort of
common thread…the answers were even more powerful than the
circumstances: They each were tied to another person! One of our
trenchers quoted this quote which summed it up incredibly accurately:
“When we stop looking for the differences, we can start to see all of the
similarities and that’s where true connection exists.”

Our time of sharing turned into a time of caring as we discovered our
similarities…which ushered in hope!
