The victory is more in the journey than the destination

Monday Message

Have you ever been on a long journey and wondered, are we there yet? Or maybe a road trip with your kids and every few minutes they’d ask, “are we there yet?” Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Message with Abigail Rice, a mommy of two, and Trench Classes United.
 
There is something to be said for learning to rest in the journey in order to get all that we are to get before the destination! Abigail’s words are a great reminder for us.
 
I know that feeling
All too familiar
I can tell
That feeling of being caught
 
Stuck
Lost
 
Not sure of which way to turn
Or where to go
Because the next step you take
Might just be the one that destroys your fate
 
But every decision you have made
Has led you to this
 
This mountain top
you have been climbing for so long
So long
You can almost taste the stars in the sky
The moon whispering
Keep climbing high
 
Yet, all you can think is that if you misstep
Your whole life will wreck
 
But, I am telling you
Have faith in that climb
All true journeys take time
The earth was not built overnight
and that moon will still shine
His voice will still call
Reminding you of who are
His daughter
His child
and every small step that you take
Will be worth the while
 
I see you there mama
Wanting to give it all
to prosper
to heed the call
Wondering and worrying
if that feeling
So gut wrenching
Is really Him
Calling you to reach beyond the ceiling
 
To jump and give it all
Having faith that even if you fall
He is still good
and you have nothing to prove
 
There is no worry too big
No burden too small
For Him to lift off your shoulders
Allowing you to soar
Becoming His soldier
 
His servant
His child
With a wonder in your soul
So timid
So mild
 
Well I am telling you now
You may walk many miles
Before what you thought would be
Becomes an actuality
 
But in the end His plan
It is not written in the sand
and you are a part
A part of His masterpiece
A star in the sky
Beckoning
Calling His people home
To their destiny
 
And He is simply asking,
"Do you believe in Me?"
"Do you trust in Me?"
 
 and That faith that you have
Will reach heights
You never imagined you would see
 
So jump now
And soar loud
Leave a mark
That makes them want to shout
How is this possible?
Because our God is unstoppable
Exodus 3:11
