Wednesday’s WordShe smiled as she read about each of the plagues the Lord brought about in the days of old, not because they were funny in any way, but because again, truths pranced off the pages and into her heart, dancing with joy and stomping on the lies she’d been every so subtly buying into. Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and Trench Classes United. Today’s word is a great reminder that there’s always something to learn from His Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (Bible). I had gotten through the seventh plague (hail) and was noticing some common themes and some powerful truths that I just can’t help but share, especially in light of what is becoming a common belief: that the Bible is outdated and full of bigotry. See, truth is never outdated, never gets old and though it may be painful to swallow and/or accept at times, (more often than not 😊 😊 ) it is always relevant for us on our way to Heaven. So getting back to Moses, Pharoah and the plagues, there are many truths that I’ve gleaned thus far, but allow me to share the first one that brought light to my current circumstance and this loooooong season of healing: No. 1, Moses ALWAYS obeyed, no matter how humiliated or frustrated he may have felt, he NEVER said no, I won’t do what you ask or say what you tell me to say! That’s not to say that he didn’t question God’s requests, but he didn’t allow his fears, his doubts, his frustration and/or his pride to interfere from obedience. Friends, that one truth alone is enough to chew on for a while, because no matter what kind of pressure we are under, whether it’s pressure from others, or a certain someone or a particular circumstance, God blesses obedience. Can I challenge you this week, Friend, that as you read from the Oldest Book in the World (the most popular, I might add) ask Him how the truths apply to you, to your life in your current circumstance… Thoughtfully, Kim-Evinda
