There’s Good News to help us thru the bad news ~KE

Wednesday Word

She glanced at the clock as she turned her computer on. She still had a
few minutes before logging on for her meeting with Maria. She quickly
typed her password to get into the email. “How do I get that to change,” she
wondered as G-mail opened to her court reporting email instead of the one
she wanted.

There were a few new emails, but one caught her attention. “Who’s this
from?” she wondered aloud.

What do you do when you get not-so-expected news and it’s not good
news? Thanks for joining us for Wednesday’s Word with Kim-Evinda and
Trench Classes United. Kim-Evinda shares from her heart to yours of a
time when she truly had to cling to the Good News to get through the bad
news.

“Good afternoon, Ms. Lepins: We have received your filed Judgment.  It was filed on
5/18/2022. Would you like to pick up your copy?”

The words seemed to scream at her and unexpected tears began to come from deep
within. The pain of it all resurfaced at lightning speed; the end of one of the longest
nightmares had become a reality. This chapter of her life was now closed. She wrestled
with reality and denial, still soaked in disbelief, as if she was watching someone else’s
movie, wishing it wasn’t hers. She was divorced…again, and what/who she thought
was her forever was gone and had ended tragically. The moment had arrived to let go of
what could have been, to trade it in for whatever God had for her next. Biblical truths
came rushing to the pain, soothing and comforting her like nothing else could or ever
would.

Words like Romans 8:28 had her questioning how this would possible work out for her
good, but she was committed to bring Him glory. She knew, from experience, that God
had a plan B as a result of their choices, and He would reveal it in His time according to
Jeremiah 29:11-12 for her heart was surely His, completely His now.

She struggled for understanding again, wondering how those who had caused so much
pain and sorrow could go on as if nothing wrong was done…and in the throws of her
doubting, Isiah 30:18 reminded her that God would have the final say; she only needed
to wait on Him, in other words not take matters into her own hand.

God had not intervened like she had hoped, but He had definitely carried her through
this moment; surely, He would help her soar on wings of eagle’s into the next chapter of
her life.

Friend, can I encourage you that no matter what storm you are in the midst of, applying
Biblical truths will help you see it as He sees it; may you have His eyes in and thru the
eye of your storm.
