Monday’s MessageDark blue
Deep hue As the silhouettes of trees Finally come into view Before the sun rises I seek after You To greet my day With more than a kiss from coffee and grace But to be my foundation My almighty base and as I interlace My fingers find my heads resting place I bow in reverence In awe of this time Quite often missed by the callings of life But as the house sleeps The wind howls It greets A gusty fall morning breeze and I feel at home I feel at ease This time right now I choose to devote between You and me So let me be still As I long to hear you speak Taking my mind off of my to-do's Lord, make me move As the sun still begs to come into view The clouds obscure Yet it still feels the lure To be seen To be known The sky calling it home and Today its duty may not be to shine but to simply provide That all too familiar warmth As we trek onward It lets us point Moving in a new direction As the season flips a coin The sun wraps us in a blanket As we cocoon We join and This is our time To plant seeds To try As the world burrows deep Behind closed doors they hide But merry and folly The sun still shines Breaking through the cold chill The thin ice o let us be still In His presence God's will Let the people come Let the merry songs be sung and look at all that you can do The near future ahead of you Our Morning Star is still here Indeed very near So let us be one Basking in His warmth Relishing in His fear -Abigail Rice For more from today's author, visit instagram.com/ajourney2life
